What's This? Bryan Singer Dropped Out of Yet Another Project?

http://www.buzzbox.com/news/2011-01-20/bob-fosse:bryan-singer/?clusterId=3031758

Should we start building a lighted scoreboard yet for Bryan Singer? Like the ones we see in basketball games?

Does Bryan Singer Have Something That He Wants to Confess? He is Now Directing Ice Cream Commercials

I'm all ears if Bryan Singer wants to confess something...

Let's see now. What do we know so far?

1. Bryan Singer is directing a "Munsters" television pilot.
2. He is directing Ice Cream commercials.
3. He never gets his recently announced theatrical movies off the ground.
4. He is making a slow, steady, and permanent transition to television.

5. The "Battlestar Galactica" movie he announced (with Universal Studios) on October 21st, 2011 has made zero progress after 9 months and going on 10 months.

Hypothesis?

"Superman Returns" killed Bryan Singer's career as a theatrical film director?

And?

Universal Studios is continuing to play games with their deliberately misleading "Galactica Press Releases" every two years...

October 21st, 2011 press release

How Much Longer is "Galactica Fandom" Going to Tolerate These Lies From Universal Studios And Bryan Singer?

http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00026452.html

This of course, was their "Battlestar Galactica" movie announcement from 2009.

Maybe it's time for "Galactica Fandom" to finally rise up and say collectively to Universal Studios and Bryan Singer....

1. "No more bullshit movie announcements every two years."

2. "No more deadbeat losers (Universal Studios, Bryan Singer) trying to attach themselves to the 'Battlestar Galactica' property in any way."

3. "....And it's time (long overdue in fact) for Universal Studios and Bryan Singer to completely disassociate themselves from the Battlestar Galactica property entirely by selling the copyright to another studio. A studio that won't take half a century to make a 'Battlestar Galactica' movie."

Universal Studios and Bryan Singer (of their own making) now have the cards completely stacked against them with "Battlestar Galactica." They are not supported by "Galactica" fandom in any way, and the flood of archived evidence on the Internet documenting their endless movie announcments (dating back to 2001) never coming to fruition has painted both of them as....."Deadbeat Losers."

The Book That Will Never Go Out of Style Because it Will Always Be Topical And Relevant

http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Studios-1978-Battlestar-Galactica/dp/1434895408/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1343326393&sr=1-2&keywords=caprica+sucks

Be sure to read all of the negative reviews of this book written by Universal Studios & SyFy Channel employees in a state of panic when this book first came out. And of course, the employees of the stealth marketing firm "Abraham & Harrison" threw in their two cents as well, with their negative reviews.

It's important to note that not one stealth marketer who left a negative review of this book, actually purchased or read the book. They purchased chewing gum and candy instead, gaining them access to the book review section of Amazon.com. "Classic Universal Studios Behavior 101" when it comes to stealth marketing.

Topical in light of the latest revelation that the Bryan Singer "Battlestar Galactica" movie announced on October 21st, 2011 (discussed in the video below)...fell apart for the third consecutive time.

The Ongoing Scam of Universal Studios & Bryan Singer Involving The "Battlestar Galactica" Movie Never Getting Made is Hurting Them, And No One Else

There is documented video evidence...such as the video above...of Universal Studios and Bryan Singer announcing a "Battlestar Galactica" movie. (The above video from October 21st, 2011.) There is press release after press release all over the Internet of Universal Studios and Bryan Singer announcing a "Battlestar Galactica" movie in the years 2011 and 2009...as well as a FOX Television series in 2001.

We have recently learned (as I predicted) that the "Battlestar Galactica" movie announced by Universal and Singer in October 2011 (discussed in the above video) typically fell into limbo with neither Universal or Singer lifting a finger to make the movie happen.

When a production falls apart the first time around...as this one did in 2001...it could possibly be excused. When that same production falls apart again 8 years later in 2009...it begins to raise eyebrows. When that same production falls apart yet again for a third consecutive time...(as this production did in October 2011...described in the above video) all eyes turn to Universal Studios and Bryan Singer with intense suspicion and incredulity. Intense suspicion as in....

1. Was it ever the intention of Universal Studios and Bryan Singer to make this movie?

2. Is it an ongoing scam on the part of Universal Studios and Bryan Singer to keep announcing this movie every two years with no intention of making it?

3. Are Universal Studios and Bryan Singer cerebral enough to make this movie? Yes, I'm questioning their intelligence.

Those of us who have been following the antics of Universal Studios and Bryan Singer with this production during the past decade have noticed some other things about Universal Studios and Bryan Singer as well. All not good....

1. To this day, after 34 years, Universal Studios does not have a profitable franchise with the "Battlestar Galactica" property in any sense of the word. Ronald D. Moore's take on "Battlestar Galactica" turned out to be nothing more than "Art House Nascissism" made by Ronald D. Moore...for Ronald D. Moore. As a consequence, his take on "Battlestar Galactica" was not "Pop Culture Friendly" for the masses...and thus....not profitable in any mass market sort of way.

2. It isn't just a "Battlestar Galactica" theatrical film that Bryan Singer can't or won't pull off. He seems to be having massive difficulties these days getting any sort of movie into theaters. One aspect of his work habits that is recent, glaring, and undeniable....is that he is very, very, very, very, very slow when it comes to making movies. As I understand it (perhaps I'm wrong but I doubt it), he was let go by Warner Brothers during the production of  "Excalibur" because he was taking too long in the pre-production process of that movie. Now, Bryan Singer didn't always used to be this slow when making movies. When he first started out, he seemed to get movies done within the Hollywood standard of a normal amount of time. "X-Men", "X-Men 2", and "Apt Pupil" would certainly testify to this. But then I suspect something happened to Bryan Singer after the failure of "Superman Returns." He began losing interest in directing theatrical films, primarily Science Fiction / Fantasy films. His dropping out of (or having been dropped from)...

a. Logan's Run
b. X-Men: Last Stand
c. Battlestar Galactica
d. Six Billion Dollar Man

...would certainly testify to this. As a fan, he would love to see these movies (he keeps announcing) up on the movie screen...but he doesn't want to direct them.

The one movie he did manage to complete after "Superman Returns" was a non-Science Fiction / Fantasy film...."Valkyrie." Imagine that!!

3. Bryan Singer has also been taking unusually massive amounts of time in post-production getting his "Jack The Giant Killer" movie done. This movie is over a year late reaching theaters.

4. After the failure of "Superman Returns", Bryan Singer's output with theatrical films has been steadily decreasing, while his output in television has been steadily increasing. Thus....

a. The Munsters pilot
b. House
c. "Magnum Gold" Ice Cream commercials

...is presently the bulk of Bryan Singer's work load.

I have no doubt that after a decade of this "Battlestar Galactica" movie repeatedly falling apart in the hands of Universal Studios and Bryan Singer...that it will never get made (on purpose.)

If The SyFy Channel Ever Decides To Revive "Blood & Chrome", I Hope They Never Forget This "Long Distance Dedication!!"

http://www.amazon.com/Blood-Chrome-Interpretation-Battlestar-Galactica/dp/1456493604/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1343232058&sr=1-1&keywords=blood+and+chrome

Complete with the "Stealth Marketing Attacks" on this book (in the book review section of Amazon.com no less) all written by both Universal Studios and SyFy Channel employees, along with employees of the stealth marketing firm...."Abraham & Harrison."

This book really upset Universal Studios and SyFy Channel....didn't it?

Aaaahh!! .....Memories.....

I Was Right All Along. Bryan Singer's "Galactica" Movie Announced On October 21st, 2011 Was Indeed Derailed

http://www.theouthousers.com/forum/the-asylum/sdcc-singer-battlestar-galactica-movie-and-bsg-blood-and-chrome-series-back-track-t84858.html

quote - "Battlestar Galactica may soon be giving up its long-running competition with LOST for television series with the least satisfying ending, as statements made at the BSG panel today seem to indicate that Blood and Chrome is still being considered as a new series on SyFy, and Bryan Singer's movie is back on track. Syfy had supposedly killed the series a few months ago, and the movie project has been in limbo since screenwriter John Orloff was hired last October. If Richard Hatch and Jane Espensen are to believed, however, both projects are still happening, leading fans of the show to believe that perhaps there is a God after all... and really, wasn't that the message the show's finale wanted us to understand in the first place?" - unquote

And Bryan Singer didn't help matters any by announcing three simultaneous film projects ("The Munsters", "Star Trek", and "The Six Billion Dollar Man") he intended to direct a mere month after he had announced the "Galactica" movie on October 21st, 2011. Wasn't he supposed to be working on "Battlestar Galactica" beginning in October 2011?...And not announcing other film projects? Bryan Singer's personal definition of "giving the Battlestar movie his undivided attention" (which is a quote from him by the way) was to abandon it and get "The Munsters", "Star Trek", and "The Six Billion Dollar Man" up and running instead....a month after October 21st, 2011.

Bryan Singer abandoned the "Battlestar Galactica" movie one month after announcing it. And now he's back into it? We're supposed to believe that?

Without a doubt, Bryan Singer is the most irresponsible film director in the history of Hollywood. If he were to finish (or even begin no less) a fraction of the movies he keeps announcing, it would be a miracle from God. So quite logically (rolling my eyes), Universal Studios keeps picking him to direct a "Battlestar Galactica" movie that he has now officially (thanks to the above press release)...abandoned three consecutive times. In 2011...in 2009.....and 2001.

You mean...it has never occurred to Universal Studios to maybe hire on another film director to tackle this film? Any film director other than Bryan Singer who would have gotten this film into theaters ages ago? Ohhh...that's right!! A good chunk of the procrastination problem this film project keeps experiencing...is Universal Studios itself....in addition to Bryan Singer.

If Bryan Singer is lucky (at the rate he is going)...he just might get his "Jack The Giant Killer" movie out of post-production...sometime during the next 15 years.

What a Surprise!! A New SyFy Channel Series Gets One of Many Negative Reviews. In This Case..."Alphas"

The standard attire of cast members from any originally produced SyFy Channel series:

1. Blue jeans
2. Gym Shoes
3. Flannel shirts over T-Shirts
5. Basic Salvation Army low budget clothing

The cast members of "Alphas" would fit right in wardrobe wise with the cast members of "Haunted Highway", "Warehouse 13", the "Saturday Night Monster Movies", and "School Spirits."

http://www.hollywoodchicago.com/news/14864/tv-review-disappointing-alphas-debuts-on-syfy-network

Getting to the point, hasn't "Alphas" already been done three times? Of course, I'm speaking of...

1. X-Men
2. Mutant X
3. Heroes

...So of course the marketing philosophies of Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern told them to march full steam ahead with "Alphas."

Valkyrie (2008) Was The Last Theatrical Film Bryan Singer Completed As a "Director"

Since then, Bryan Singer has repeatedly displayed remarkable AMBIVALENCE and PROCRASTINATION towards every single Science Fiction / Fantasy movie he has announced.

Translation: He has dropped (or has been dropped from) every one of these movies he has announced:

1. Logan's Run
2. Excalibur
3. Battlestar Galactica
4. Six Billion Dollar Man
5. X-Men: The Last Stand

I suspect that although Bryan Singer may be a Science Fiction / Fantasy fan, he doesn't like to direct movies of that genre. That...he announces Science Fiction / Fantasy film projects (as a fan) he would like to see up on the screen...but he really doesn't want to make them (as the director.) As a fan, he may want to see....

1. Logan's Run
2. Excalibur
3. Battlestar Galactica
4. Six Billion Dollar Man
5. X-Men: The Last Stand

up on the movie screen...But he lacks the drive and ambition to actually be the film director putting them up on the movie screens.

And his pattern of working remains exactly the same with all of these types of movies....

He gets stalled in pre-production....and then he drops out of these projects.

Where does he always end up? In television directing smaller projects. His sanctuary no doubt...from whatever the roadblocks are that keep preventing him from making the Science Fiction / Fantasy movies he keeps announcing.

Bryan Singer is now spending most of his time working in television. Did the failure of "Superman Returns" have something to do with that?

Yes, The "Modus Operandi" of Universal Studios And Bryan Singer is Strategic Clockwork in Action

http://www.scifi-movies.com/english/short-0000286-battlestar-galactica-2011.htm

"Strategic Clockwork" as in...the years continue to roll by with no movie in sight. What's this? This movie will be ready in Summer 2014? Hmmmm!! In other words, it will take Universal Studios and Bryan Singer three years to make this movie from the date of this announcement on October 21st, 2011....

...Assuming of course, that the two of them don't abandon this production just as they did in 2009 and 2001....Three years to make a movie? Another entry in "The Guiness Book of World Records" under the category...."Slow Motion"....with Bryan Singer's picture and the Universal Studios logo directly above the definition.

Gee, and what's this little relic from Bryan Singer's past? Yet another abandoned production by him?

http://blastr.com/2009/08/syfy-enlists-bryan-singer.php

Maybe we'll find it in the "Discount DVD Bin" at Wal-Mart along with Ronald D. Moore's "Thing" prequel.

If you sneezed....both productions came and went during your sneeze.

The Documented And Troubled History of Bryan Singer And Universal Studios Continues to Work Against Them...And Haunt Them

Announcement above from October 21st, 2011

So...after 9 months....exactly when will Bryan Singer and Universal Studios begin working on this movie?

We can add this malarkey of theirs to the two previous (deliberately misleading) announcements from Universal Studios and Bryan Singer of a "Galactica" production (supposedly in production) in 2009 and 2001.

Saturday, July 21, 2012

In Retrospect, It Can Be Concluded That The Works of Bryan Singer And Ronald D. Moore Are Not "Pop Culture" Friendly

Superman Returns -

Superman barely having any dialogue and not smiling in this movie were only fragments of the overall problem with "Superman Returns." The overall mood of this movie was very gloomy, making it extremely depressing to watch. If a studio were to give a movie director a multi-million dollar budget for an "Art House Film"...."Superman Returns" is what the end result would be.

Bryan Singer ignored everything that made Superman "Pop Culture Joyous", and instead made a superhero film for manic-depressives on the brink of suicide.

Bryan Singer of course, is the one to blame solely for this movie. How dare he think that he could have competed with the great Richard Donner and the late great Tom Mankiewicz with their joyous and endlessly upbeat interpretation of the character, which made "Superman - The Movie" one of the major pop culture events of the 1970s. Which of course, was an accurate interpretation of the character from the 1930s to the 1970s. Beyond that of course, the character should always remain pop culture friendly and upbeat.

Ronald D. Moore's "GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only) Series

Shaking my head "no" in endless incredulity.

One Thing We Have Learned About Bryan Singer is That He is Not Ambidextrous

For example, if Bryan Singer announces a bunch of different film and television projects roughly at the same time....

1. Six Billion Dollar Man
2. Battlestar Galactica
3. The Munsters
4. Logan's Run
5. Excalibur
6. X-Men: First Class

....He will rummage through the above list and pick the easiest project to do (The Munsters), and jettison everything else.

Additionally, he has proven that he cannot do all of the above projects...at once.

Now, if he had a massive production company like the late and great Stephen J. Cannell did, he might have been able to delegate authority to make all of the above movies.

What's Next For Bryan Singer After Directing The "Munsters" Pilot?

It sure won't be the "Battlestar Galactica" movie.

I suspect that Bryan Singer's career is now permanently lodged in television. Specifically sitcoms.

And I also think that he will occassionally direct fast food commercials just like the one above.

A career destination such as this (in television) can only be arrived at when a one time theatrical director drops out of the following, major motion pictures in consecutive order....

1. "Excalibur"
2. "Six Billion Dollar Man"
3. "Battlestar Galactica"
4. "X-Men First Class"
5. "Logan's Run"
6. The verdict is still out on "Jack The Giant Killer"

...and has nowhere else to go....

Because Hollywood as a whole might consider him too risky to hire on as a movie director to complete a movie within a reasonable amount of time, or he just might drop out of the movie "spur of the moment?"

Am I wrong?

There's nothing to be ashamed of here. We will always need guys to direct fast food commercials, even former movie directors.

The Late Stephen J. Cannell Had More Talent In His Little Finger, Than Bryan Singer & Ronald D. Moore Combined

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_J._Cannell

Do we really need to get into the proud and voluminous accomplishments of Stephen J. Cannell and his production company, versus the pathetic...rinky dink work history of Bryan Singer and his "Bad Hat Harry Productions?"

The difference between the late Stephen J. Cannell and Bryan Singer is...Stephen J. Cannell didn't back down from making stuff after deciding he would do it. And Stephen J. Cannell's voluminous work history proves it.

When Nothing Gets Done In The Production of a Movie After 9 Months, It's Perfectly Normal For Universal Studios And Bryan Singer

As our young lady reported on October 20th, 2011....

Universal Studios and Bryan Singer have gotten pretty good at this!! Announce a "Battlestar Galactica" movie every two years and then deliberately not make it.

As we hit the 9 month mark after the above announcement was made (with no further elaboration on this movie), the mist begins to clear and reveal why Universal Studios and Bryan Singer aren't more successful than what they presently are and have been.

The SyFy Channel's "Haunted Highway" is an Absolute Disaster in Television Programming

Thank God this is only a 6 episode series. We should start worrying when Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern find out how much this series is already hated, and then proceed to renew it for multiple seasons because of that fact.

First of all, the title of this series is a misnomer. Ghosts, spectres, and demons are not being hunted down on the highways and byways of America. Instead, our two crackerjack investigative teams of morons are hunting these entites down in the forests and mountains just off of...all of these highways and byways in America. Which is curious because all sorts of phantoms are literally on the highways and byways of America. Enough to fill more than a 6 episode series. Such as "Resurrection Mary"...the hitchhiking ghost that has made a habit of trekking (on foot and barefoot) up and down Archer Avenue on Chicago's south side....since 1931.

"Haunted Highway" displays all of the characteristic problems we have come to expect from these paranormal investigation programs....particularly if the SyFy Channel is producing them.

1. EVP voices and any other supposed noises from beyond can of course, be created by the producers of all of these types of programs on the dubbing stage during post-production of each individual episode. So, in the case of "Haunted Highway", we supposedly heard "Shadow People" clanking chains together in response to a question put to them by one of the investigative teams.

It's fairly obvious that if the "dubbing stage" in television production didn't exist for these paranormal shows, neither would Zac Bagans and his "Ghost Adventures" show (for example), that relies upon (99.99% of the time) EVP voice phenonema that can easily be created in post-production on the dubbing stage by television producers. It's no different for "Haunted Highway."

I'm reminded of Kenneth Johnson, the director of the "Incredible Hulk" television pilot who stated quite frankly in his audio commentary for that film, that the voice of the "Hulk" was provided by the late Ted Cassidy on the dubbing stage....growling....pitched down (electronically) one or two octaves on the dubbing stage...to give the Hulk an otherwordly sound....during post-production.

2. "Haunted Highway", more than any other paranormal show, has its investigative teams doing the most unbelievably stupid, assinine things running contrary to general modes of common sense and human behavior.

a. Why would you (a guy) even entertain the notion of leaving your female companion (partner) alone and unprotected by herself in the woods at 3:00 frickin' am in the morning while you go off to check on something else? I would want that girl at my side at all times just so I could keep her alive from whatever might jump her in the dark. Whether it be a phantom, a drunk, or a rapist. Especially when she's cute as a button like Jael de Pardo.

b. The "First Commandment" of "Haunted Highway" apparently is...make as much noise as possible (both intentional and incidental) in the woods to draw Spectres to you. What if these Spectres are cold-blooded killers? Such as "The Shadow People?" Then I guess "Haunted Highway" will never complete the filming of its 6 episode run unless it is recast....by people not dead. Yes, the two investigative teams in "Haunted Highway" yell, chant, sing, run through especially noisy...twig snapping shrubbery everytime they freak out (which is 100% of the time)....at 3:00 am in the frickin' morning smack dab in the middle of ground zero where "Bigfoot on Steroids" lives and has them all under surveillance.

3. One episode had one of our teams going in to check out a 6 foot tall, hairy dude with scraggly hair down to his shoulders. Sort of a "Bigfoot reject from Woodstock 1969." It wouldn't have been illegal for this team to go into this investigative situation...fully armed. Hell, I think just about any law enforcement agency and judge would have encouraged it. A rifle....a bazooka....hand grenades....a rapid fire, signal flare sub-machine gun. Take that sucker down...even if he is "The Missing Link." The important thing is....Jael de Pardo would have remained safe.

4. These paranormal shows always miss the fundamental point of human survival while ghost hunting. If you see something 300 yards away from you (via infrared vision) trotting across the field looking like it has 12 legs and coming towards you....YOU OPEN FIRE!! You ask questions later...while examining the pieces of the supernatural entity you just blew away with 1200 rounds of live, heat seeking ammo.

I'll give "Haunted Highway" 0 stars.....and Jael de Pardo 3000 stars.

The Reason Why Bonnie Hammer's SyFy Channel Should Have Gone Out of Business a Long, Long, Long Time Ago

http://ethicsalarms.com/2010/12/28/syfy-and-the-absence-of-integrity-a-case-study/

SyFy and the Absence of Integrity: A Case Study

At TV.com, there is a fascinating account of the evolution of the Sci Fi Channel, once cable’s reliable source for science fiction programming, into SyFy, which is nothing of the sort. As the article points out, the two individuals who have run the channel since 2002, Bonnie Hammer and Dave Howe, appear not to like, understand, or trust the genre their channel supposedly was dedicated to advancing. Now, having cancelled the two shows its science fiction fans most enjoyed, “Caprica” and “Stargate Universe,” SyFy is a bona fide whatsis, with a schedule that includes professional wrestling, cheesy horror movies, ghost hunter and psychic reality shows, and whatever else Hammer and Howe think will attract what they regard as a non-geek audience.

Here is the problem: if a project, enterprise, or mission has to turn into something else entirely to achieve what its management considers success, then it has already failed. If the original objective was worth pursuing, then integrity and honesty requires that either new leadership dedicated to the core mission be recruited, or the project should end.

It is clear from the various comments in the article that neither Howe nor Hammer ever respected either the Sci Fi Channel’s core audience and genre programming. That being the case, it was unethical for them to accept the challenge of running it. If Disney has to become a porn company to stay in the black, it has an obligation to just fold its tents and start a new company with a different mission. Having the Cartoon Channel run by people who don’t like cartoons, or the Soap Opera Channel run by people who think soap operas are stupid, or the History Channel operated by suits who think history is boring, is unfair to the vision, the mission, and the audience of those channels.

Yet the Sci Fi Channel was placed in the hands of executives who looked upon science fiction and its fans as obstacles to profitability. As a result, even if their business model “succeeds”, the mission of having a science fiction cable channel will have failed.

The absence of integrity is fatal.

After 13 Years of Producing Absolutely Nothing Together, This is The Only Device We Have to Accurately Guage The Productivity of Universal Studios & Bryan Singer's Partnership Together

This of course, can be applied to Universal Studios and Bryan Singer's repeated inability to produce a "Battlestar Galactica" movie together during the past decade and counting (13 years.)

It can also be applied to Bryan Singer's growing inability to start or complete any sort of film project everytime he is penciled in as the..."Director."

1. Logan's Run
2. Excalibur
3. Battlestar Galactica
4. Six Billion Dollar Man
5. Jack The Giant Killer

Maybe the time has come for Bryan Singer to cease announcing to the world that he is involved with a film project (as the "Director") unless he is certain beyond a shadow of a doubt that he can and will complete that movie...as the "Director."

Have these two entites come to symbolize..."Immobility in Hollywood?"

Reading Between The Lines As to Why Warner Brothers Shelved Bryan Singer's "Excalibur" Movie

http://www.totalfilm.com/news/bryan-singer-s-excalibur-remake-canned

quote - "As a fan of John Boorman’s bloody epic Excalibur, TF was interested to see what a modern-day retelling of the King Arthur legend would look like.
Sadly, Bryan Singer’s update of the 1981 film has been shelved by Warner Bros. in favour of a different Arthurian tale.
“Yeah, unfortunately it is no longer going to happen,” Singer told SFX at the annual Sitges Film Festival. “I was really enthused to do it. I’m a fan of John Boorman’s movie and it was my intention to get it going after Jack The Giant Killer was completed.”
“The project was with Warner Bros and what happened is that another King Arthur project was brought to them during that time. Basically, it was just more ready to go into production than ours was. That is why our version of Excalibur ended up being negated.”
Singer isn't letting the disappointment get to him, mind.
“When that happened, it allowed me to go straight into developing Battlestar Galactica - which I think will be really exciting.” - unquote

Bryan Singer Really Soars at Completing Non-Theatrical Projects. With Theatrical Projects However, Bryan Singer Inches Along At a Snail's Pace

http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/07/09/future-shock-bryan-singer-discusses-his-new-web-series-h/?ref=television

1. His "Jack The Giant Killer" is still in post-production after being in post-production for ages.

2. The only projects where he makes significant, expeditious progress is in television production. As I said before, in television (for example), Bryan Singer has alot of bosses cracking the whip for deadlines to be met....as in "House" and "The Munsters." Though his web series "H" is nearing completion, it took him a long time to do that.

3. Left to his own devices and allowed to function autonomously, Bryan Singer makes no progress whatsoever in the movie industry with theatrical films such as "Excalibur", "Logan's Run", "Battlestar Galactica", and "Six Billion Dollar Man." It is taking him double the normal time to get "Jack The Giant Killer" beyond post-production and into theaters.

4. Battlestar Galactica....announced by Singer in October 2011 has typically made no production progress nine months later....

Is The Day Coming (Perhaps Closer Than We Think) When Bryan Singer Will Be Frequently Directing "Schlocko" Horror Movies For The SyFy Channel Under a "Pseudonym?"

When he isn't directing "Sitcoms" for the Disney Channel and NBC-TV?

A quiet and permanent career transition such as this from theatrical films to the "doggy dog world" of the SyFy Channel and sitcoms would be right up Bryan Singer's alley.

Because quite frankly, you never know what Bryan Singer is doing from one moment to the next until he abandons theatrical films (Logan's Run, Battlestar Galactica, Six Billion Dollar Man), or announces new theatrical projects he will eventually abandon.

The Business Description of Bryan Singer's "Bad Hat Harry Productions" Lists Television Projects As The #1 Thing They Do, Then Video Games, And Finally Theatrical Films

http://tviv.org/Bad_Hat_Harry_Productions

Very, very telling indeed. Since the only reasonable progress Bryan Singer now makes is with television productions - ("House", "The Munsters".)

No doubt this is a shift in emphasis for Bryan Singer and his production company. And no doubt the shift in emphasis began to occur after the unprecedented failure of Bryan Singer's "Superman Returns."

I Guess Bryan Singer Wouldn't Take "No" For An Answer Last Year, When His "Star Trek" Pitch Was Simultaneously Rejected By Paramount Pictures...And William Shatner...And Jonathon Frakes

I have the utmost faith in Bryan Singer that he will continue grasping for straws and trying every trick in the book in order to avoid making this movie he announced on October 21st, 2011...and in 2009...and in 2001.

Suggested Name Changes For The "SyFy Channel"

Let's face it. In addition to being the worst television programmers of all time...Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern are also the laziest. No doubt one of the methods in their madness to couch their network moniker (above) in such a steaming pile of ambiguous donkey drivel (SyFy??) was the opportunity it gave them to not be nailed down by a singular and discernable on-air identity...thus allowing their network to be in a constant state of chameleonic flux from one moment to the next. A horror movie here, a cooking show there, a reality show here, wrestling there.

I think the time has come for the "SyFy Channel" to embrace (full force) its notorious, on-air ambiguity once and for all with an on-air moniker fully embracing what they...aren't?

1. "Jane Doe Central" - We don't know who and what we are, and neither do you!!

2. "John Doe Central" - We don't know who and what we are, and neither do you!!

3. "The Ambiguity Superstation!!" - Define us as you so choose!!

4. "Amnesiac Broadcasting!!" - We were something yesterday, but we can't remember what it was!!

5. "Cerebral Hemorrhage Broadcasting!!" - Coming up next after wrestling!! "Haunted Highway!!"

6. "The Wandering Adrift Channel" - The home of the "Cape Fear" movie and "Gatoraid!!"

7. "The What??...Superstation!!" - You want to know our on-air identity? Why??

8. "Haunted Cooking Show Smackdown!!" - The television network of.... Preparing your food in a haunted kitchen while dodging professional wrestlers wanting to get you into a head lock!!

And this doesn't even begin to sum it up!!

The #1 Forum On The SyFy Channel's Website Right Now is The "Haunted Highway" Forum

I guess this is the much talked about master plan that Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern had in store for their SyFy Channel all along. Low budget, quasi-reality drivel with forums averaging 8 posts at the most.

And Bonnie Hammer has a Master's Degree in what....??

Has Bryan Singer Settled Into His New Permanent Digs Yet As Television Sitcom Director?

If Steven Spielberg only knew that this was Bryan Singer's utimate destiny while he was sponsoring Mr. Singer's internship in the Director's Guild.

Oh well. I heard that the Disney Channel is looking for a few good, permanent directors to direct episodes of their endless parade of juvenile sitcoms.

And whatever happened to this movie that Bryan Singer was supposed to be directing and working on beginning in October 2011?....and February 2009?......and October 2001?
