Physician, Heal Thyself!!

Former cast and crew members of Ronald D. Moore's "GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only) Series are in no position to be criticizing anyone or anything since their own series....

1. Was a blatant rip-off of the entire "Rick Berman Era of Star Trek."

2. Had a leading man (Edward James Olmos) who did nothing but frown even during intended humorous scenes.

3. Had four low rated seasons and had a pilot episode that had the lowest audience approval ratings in television history.

4. The only reason the series went on the air after that was to fragmentize components of the Battlestar property so that Universal could own it. The "GINO" series being the pathetic vessel for achieving that.

Yes, there were embarrassing aspects of the "1978 Battlestar" series including the robot dog, but any intelligent scholar of television history (you won't find them at the SyFy Channel) would know that that was due to the fact of ABC-TV mandating that those embarrassing moments be put in to attract the desired audience demographics of the time, primarily children and young teens. But the durable premise of the 1978 series remained intact despite that.

So much so, that Ronald D. Moore found it appropriate to lift the title and take the premise into Rick Berman territory a quarter century later.

Yet another example of the "SyFy Channel's" - "Lightweight Powder-Puff Fibbing" everytime it tries and fails to rewrite the factual history of the "1978 Battlestar Series." Many times with factual data intentionally left out.

Everyone in "Hollywood" Continues to Find The Entire "Science Fiction / Fantasy / Horror" Genre Quite Effortless to Deal With

Meanwhile, "Comcast / NBC-Universal" continues its decades spanning straining / struggling with the same overall genre...

Always yielding nothing ...

The "Writer's Guild of America" is Returning to Work!!

Which of course means, that no new "Battlestar" production of any sort will resume not being made by "Comcast / NBC-Universal" for any reason....

Yes, you heard me correctly. Did I stutter?

2001-2023

22 years and counting with no new "Battlestar" production.

With all of the "Fake Battlestar Galactica Movie / TV Show Press Releases" from "Comcast / NBC-Universal" during that time backing up all of the inactivity.

It's Worth Repeating: "Future Media Historians" and "Future College Curriculum Studies in Media" Will Always "Zero In On" What "Comcast / NBC-Universal" Did Wrong as a Corporation

Sure, "Universal Studios" has had some sparse "Box Office" successes on occasion, but that doesn't excuse what the corporation habitually and intentionally screwed up on 99% of the other times....

Is There a Corporation Left on Earth That Doesn't Own a Piece of "Peacock-Streaming?"

https://www.whattowatch.com/watching-guides/all-the-live-sports-on-peacock-nfl-wwe-premier-league-and-more

This isn't a "Streaming Service", it's an "All You Can Eat Delicatessen with a Salad Bar"....

When the dust finally settles after the tornado, where is "Peacock-Streaming" in all of this? Something with a discernible "Corporate Identity?"

Like "Mickey Mouse" or "Star Trek"....

Next Month Is The "20th Anniversary" of an "Unfortunate Event" (Caused by Universal Studios, of Course)

Yes, it was October 2003 when inside that attractive box, "Universal Studios" released the worst DVD set ever manufactured.

"Battlestar Galactica - The Complete Epic Series" had...

1. Cracked discs

2. Freezing discs

3. Horrible transfers of the episodes (the pilot episode primarily, of course.)

4. The most notable freeze point being in the pilot episode, where the young boy was first abducted by the "Ovion" creatures on the planet "Carillon."

20 years later, and this corporation is still screwing up in everything it does, intentionally primarily...

Time flies when we're having fun.

The Transfers of Classic "Universal Studios" Television Series Always Turn Out So Beautifully!!

As long as "Universal Studios" NEVER handles the transfers themselves.

In the case of "Kolchak-The Night Stalker", the beautiful transfers on Blu-Ray were done by "Kino Lorber"....

"Peacock-Streaming" Has Become So "Overly-Stuffed" With "Miscellaneous Content", It Is Now More Ambiguous Than Ever as a "Streaming Service"

"Peacock-Streaming" was never well thought out in the first place as a "Streaming Service." It never had the thoughtful care and proper investment into its inception as the other "Streaming Services" had. Because parent corporation "Comcast / NBC-Universal" never really knew what a "Streaming Service" was and how to run one.

It is not a (lacking a discernible identity....Overly-stuffed dumping ground for endless sporting events, and old tv series) causing everyone to not know who and what you are even more.

So now, "Peacock-Streaming" is stuck throwing in everything including the "Kitchen Sink" (throwing jello at the wall) trying to attract subscribers.

It's not working.

Among The Other, Endless Manifestations of Illogic Generated by "Comcast / NBC-Universal" On a Daily Basis...

... This blog is also still trying to figure out why this "Looney Corporation also made a "Direct to DVD" sequel to the box office flop "R.I.P.D"....
