Ironically, The SyFy Channel Has Become What It Has Spent Years Condemning

We heard it again and again from Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern. How they wanted to get away from "pure" Science Fiction television programming because as far as they were concerned, such programming carried the stigma of being "Geek Fodder." Such programming (as far as they were concered) only appealed to "adult geeks living in their parents basements."
This is where things get interesting and ironic. Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern convinced themselves that they had the perfect antidote for (in their opinion) such "geeky" programming as "Star Trek", the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series, "Farscape", "Stargate"...etc. They would put such non-Science Fiction television programming on the air as "Scare Tactics", "Dream Team", "WWF Smackdown", "Marcel's Quantum Kitchen", and "Fact or Faked?" Now, this is where the irony comes in!! These very television programs Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern have come up with (to replace those supposedly "geeky" Science Fiction television programs they hate so much such as "Star Trek") have turned out to be the very "Geek Fodder" they have spent years condemning.
Based upon their "Geeky" television programming on the SyFy Channel, Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern have turned out to be the very "Geeks" and "Nerds" they hate so much. Of course, there really is no such thing as "Geeks" and "Nerds" when television programmers try to erroneously apply the definitions to segments of the viewing audience who simply like Science Fiction television programming. However....Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern have always had this inate psychological need to hate someone...anyone (in the general public domain)..while showing up for work everyday at the SyFy Channel and not doing their jobs. That segment of the viewing public loving Science Fiction television programming fit the bill quite nicely for them.
It's a shame that there aren't more "Geeks" living in their basements that Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern could program to...because if there were...the SyFy Channel would be making a fortune right now with such crap as "GINO"..."Caprica"...."Blood & Chrome"...."Dream Team"...."Scare Tactics"...."Fact or Faked"...."WWF Smackdown".....and "Marcel's Quantum Kitchen."
The attempts of Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern to rid themselves of their corporate phobia of..."Geeks being the dominant demographic" in their viewing audience, has ironically resulted in them producing the very sorts of television programming these manufactured stereotypes (of Hammer, Howe, and Stern) would find appealing.
