Television Series Created Solely With a "Corporate Mentality" Are Not Designed to Entertain Mass Market Television Audiences
"GINO" and its bastard offspring ("Caprica", "Blood & Chrome") were not designed to entertain mass market television audiences. The three productions instead, were corporate instruments designed to shift as much ownership of the "Battlestar Galactica" away from Glen A. Larson to NBC-Universal as possible.. That is why these three productions contain not one ingredient that a mass market television audience would find attractive. Because "GINO", "Caprica", and "Blood & Chrome" were designed by "Corporate Committee" at NBC-Universal instead of qualified artistic people in Hollywood, they contained all of the following unfortunate side effects...
1. None of them were entertaining or enjoyable to watch in the slightest.
2. All of them were flat out dull.
3. All of them have and are exhibiting symptoms of not having any staying power in the public consciousness. The memories of these three productions have faded.
4. There is no demand for the cast members of these three productions to make appearances at science fiction conventions across the country. The likes of Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, and Aaron Douglass are as easily forgettable to the public as the other faceless and bland cast members of "Ice Spiders", "Area 51", "Sharktopus", and "Mansquito." In other words, the general public just didn't take to (and didn't warm to) the cold-blooded and off-putting performances of the cast members in "GINO", "Caprica", and "Blood & Chrome."
5. All of them contained "stock, paint by the numbers corporate characters" that the "suits" always mistakenly believe will attract audiences across the entire demographic spectrum.
Let this be a lesson to NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel. If they want a profitable television series in the future, don't do the job themselves. Hire talented and artistic outside personnel to do the job instead.
