...Why Universal Studios couldn't....."Reimagine Its Way Out of a Paper Bag"....while making this movie...

1. Universal Studios has no imagination....period. This is the notorious corporation of...."The Maury Povich Show"....."Blind Date"....."R.I.P.D"....."The SyFy Channel"....and...."Cowboys & Aliens." What Universal Studios has always had in place of imagination however, is a relentless inclination towards...."Garbage Television Programming".....and...."Garbage Theatrical Films in The Science Fiction Genre." The word....."Reimagine"....means having imagination in the first place, and then applying that gift to a specific project and transforming it into something else imaginative. How Universal Studios is really defining the word...."Reimagine"....in the above (Fake) press release is (since Universal Studios has no imagination)....

Universal Studios: "We're going to micro-manage this project (if we actually go through with it) all over 'Kingdom's Creation' with our usual corporate flair for not making anything remotely 'Mass Market Attractive' to any segment of the movie going public in the Science Fiction genre or 'Battlestar Galactica' (post - '1978 Series') and instead....use the 'Battlestar Galactica' brand name only to make a 'Transformers'-esque rip-off movie with....'Steampunk'...elements thrown in."

2. Universal Studios has had no corporate love for...."The 1978 Battlestar Galactica Series"....since 1979. So of course if given the opportunity, Universal Studios would try to reboot (not reimagine)....."The 1978 Battlestar Galactica Series"....into anything that it is not. And we have already seen this disgusting state of affairs with Ronald D. Moore's.... "GINO" - Galactica in Name Only)..... series, where what was supposed to be...."Battlestar Galactica"....was instead....."Rated R Star Trek: Voyager Porn", "Species", and the "Blade Runner" flop of a movie all rolled up into one.

3. Universal Studios has never been particularly bright (non-cerebral) with the "Battlestar Galactica" brand name, period. It has refused to face the fact what the "Battlestar" series really is after 36 years...."the 1978 series"....and instead has wasted its time....

a. Trying to turn.... "Battlestar"..... into "Star Trek", "Blade Runner", and "Species" instead. Anything that it is not.

Or....

b. Not getting anything done anything at all with the...."Battlestar Galactica"....brand name.

Or....

c. Has tried turning the property over to the most oddball and assorted collection of goofballs and no-talents and those you have never heard of with the outcome of course always being...nothing getting done period or nothing getting done constructively....Ronald D. Moore, Bryan Singer, John Orloff, and Jack Paglen.

That pretty much covers a portion of these wide ranging issues for now.
