A "Director's Cut" of "Saga of a Star World" Is Still Avoided By Universal Studios Like The Plague
Did Starbuck and Athena pause to argue in the landing bay immediately after Starbuck's crash landing?
Starbuck and Boomer make their way down the staircase into the "Carillon Casino" in this extended sequence. Observing aliens galore (footage never seen) as they sight see through the casino.
In this alternate cut of the "Caprica" attack, Jim Peck reports on the attack instead of Jane Seymour.
The original sequence (unedited) of the "Carillon Casino" had humanoid aliens galore.
We will most likely never see a "Director's Cut" of "Saga of a Star World" due to Universal Studios being the lost cause it always has been towards all things..."Battlestar Galactica 1978." In order for such an animal to be manufactured, this never before seen lost footage would had to have been stored extremely carefully in air tight canisters for the past 36 years in proper temperature. Given Universal Studios extremely noticeable behavior (hostility) towards...."Battlestar Galactica 1978"....during the past 36 years (reaching its heights during the decade of the 2000's when Ronald D. Moore's "GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only) series was on the air, such proper storage of this lost footage most likely never took place and most likely, this lost footage was consciously dumped in the trash by Universal Studios at some point during the early to mid 1980's. Maybe even sooner.
We do have some missing footage on the "Galactica DVD Set" from 2003 of the pilot episode, but it is of course incomplete with many lost sequences still missing in action. In addition to the above lost sequences, there is also...
1. Baltar surveying the ruined home of someone on the planet "Caprica" immediately after the Cylon attack.
2. Sequences of the Ovion Queen conversing with the Cylons.
3. Starbuck confronting Colonel Tigh immediately after his crash landing demanding to know why the Galactica pulled out of battle.
4. More footage of the council...primarily a longer sequence leading up to Apollo suggesting the "Nova of Madagon" be used as an alternate escape route.
5. More footage of Adama on the bridge trying to comfort Athena after Zac's death.
6. A long sequence of an Ovion worker giving Apollo, Jolly, and Serina a guided tour of the Ovion mines immediately after Boxey's abduction. Including a disembarking from the tram they ride, and also including a slow walk across that underground bridge towards Queen Lotay's (Ovion Queen) chambers.
7. Starbuck chatting with a female at a game table (not Athena or Cassiopia) where he gets more information about the casino.
I can accept the tragedy that some older films and television shows may have ended up having lost footage due to unintentional tragedy, such as a fire on a movie lot. What I can't accept (in the case of...."Battlestar Galactica 1978")....is that 30 minutes of still missing footage from its pilot episode is probably lost forever due to intentional oversight (from day one) fueled by animosity from Universal Studios towards this series (from day one - September 17th, 1978.) A tragedy that could have been simply avoided since day one if...."Battlestar Galactica 1978"....simply had better owners, and not the rotten owners Universal Studios has always been.

Read the books Universal Studios has tried and failed to censor on Amazon.com...

And read these books at another location where Universal Studios executives and its stealth marketers won't be able to post negative, misleading (stealth marketed) reviews of the books via them purchasing candy and Rogaine Foam on Amazon.com (allowing them access to the Amazon book review section) and not actually buying and reading the books. I'll leave the other 150 global locations under wraps for now.
