Everybody knows that the reverse is true. That only smiling, happy faces attracts the mass market audience to any television production.

Thus...the ratings for Ronald D. Moore's..."GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)....series were always abysmally low for all four of its low rated seasons, in addition to being on a cable network that was never well regarded by any mass market audience.

They both would have worked tirelessly to drive the..."SyFy Channel"....right off the air. It's moniker..."SyFy"...instead of..."Sci-Fi"...being their primary criticism.

The likes of David Gerrold, Howard Zimmerman, and guest article(s) writer Harlan Ellison would have totally trashed the likes of...

It has all of the key ingredients the..."SyFy Channel"...has always loved about its parent corporation's (Universal Studios) flop movies necessary for making a flop television series...

1. It didn't just bomb at the box office. It bombed badly. In a spectacular and unprecedented fashion...


2. The subject matter of the movie was boring as shit.

3. "R.I.P.D."...tried to rip-off...."Ghostbusters"....and..."Men in Black"....at the same time.

4. Beyond the plot of the movie, there were no more stories to sustain a television series.

5. "R.I.P.D."...was / is just screaming to be filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia. The..."SyFy Channel's"....low budget home for decades for everything they film.

6. The two lead characters could be cast with any old Canadian actors you would never hear from again after..."R.I.P.D.'s"...low ratings based cancellation after four episodes.

7. "R.I.P.D."...would of course crack that highly coveted..."0.0 - 0.5"...ratings range of every other low rated..."SyFy Channel"...show.

8. No one would watch..."R.I.P.D. - The Series"...because no one ever watches the..."SyFy Channel"....for any reason anyway.
