Can We Look Forward to Even More Failed Projects in 2013 From NBC-Universal and Bryan Singer, Getting Burned Off as a DVD Release or One-Shot Television Broadcast?

My New Years Predictions (2013) For Universal Studios, SyFy Channel, and Bryan Singer

1. Universal Studios will continue to not have a money making Science Fiction franchise in 2013 on the order of "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" because they will continue to not be intelligent enough to manage "Battlestar Galactica" in the manner in should be managed...by continuing or revisiting the saga of "The 1978 Battlestar Galactica" series.

2. SyFy Channel will continue to be the one channel the Science Fiction fan community does not watch anymore because the channel is not Science Fiction and the channel sucks overall.

3. Bryan Singer will continue racking up one fake press release after another adding to his already astonishing list of 23 consecutive aborted project / fake press release list...

The Blunt Truth of Ronald D. Moore And Bryan Singer

Ronald D. Moore and Bryan Singer have proven to be insignificant lightweights in the arena of Science Fiction / Fantasy producing, writing and directing. Their previous work in this area of required expertise has proven to be no more memorable than an average episode of "L.A. Law" or "Jackass." Their collective attempts in trying to build careers for themselves in trying to tackle Science Fiction and Fantasy has resulted in both of them destroying their own careers in movies and television. Ironic since both of them were always trying to use Science Fiction and Fantasy to build careers for themselves.

Ronald D. Moore -

His post "Star Trek - Rick Berman Era" work has yielded nothing but one failure after another. His failed attempt at trying to reboot "Battlestar Galactica" for a chronically low rated cable channel that isn't Science Fiction in the first place (SyFy Channel) resulted in three ill-conceived series that only had salaried stealth marketers on Internet bulletin boards rooting for them ("GINO", "Caprica", "Blood & Chrome")

Every other Science Fiction based production he has tried to get up and running either got shit-canned ("Virtuosity", "Wild, Wild West") or never got passed the pilot stage ("17th Precinct".)

Bryan Singer -

Where does one begin with Bryan Singer? There certainly is never an ending with this guy. After racking up an astounding 23 consecutive projects that either got aborted (even if they were legitimate in the first place), or were fake to begin with via endless fake press releases....

"The King of The Fake Press Release"

There are other things going on here evident sinply by reading between the lines of all of these projects (Bryan Singer announced) that never came to fruition due to them being aborted or were fake to begin with.

1. After the failure of "Superman Returns", Bryan Singer has as much clout in Hollywood right now as does your average "Below The Line Key Grip" in Hollywood.

2. No one in Hollywood is giving Bryan Singer any money for any reason for any project of any formidable legitimacy. His only two projects after "Valkyrie" in 2007 were "The Munsters Halloween Special" and "Magnum Gold Ice Cream" commercials.

After Bryan Singer quietly walks away from both "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and the "Twilight Zone" remake with CBS-TV due to both projects either collapsing or never having been legitimate claims by Bryan Singer in the first place, I suspect he will pop up in television directing sitcom episodes such as "Two and a Half Men", more ice cream commercials, or a follow-up to his "Munsters Halloween Special."

We can also count on Bryan Singer making his next "Battlestar Galactica" fake press release / movie announcement in the fall of 2013.

The exhausting 14 months for Bryan Singer and Universal Studios began on October 21st, 2011 when they both released this fake press release.

 

                                      

 

After doing nothing career wise for the next 10 months (including not making the above movie), Bryan Singer carried the "Olympic Torch" up Mount Olympus one last time by offering the above (fake) update on this fake "Battlestar" movie on August 3rd, 2012.

 

Whew!! Exhausting, huh?

 

I hope Bryan Singer and Universal Studios never broke a "Corporate Fingernail" during this 14 month long, exhausting ordeal of theirs.

Universal Studios Has Charged Full Steam Ahead Into Blu-Ray Technology With Manufacturing Flaws

Universal Studios has embraced DVD & Blu-Ray technology with all of the affection of a cactus hugging a raccoon.

...They were having a field day inflicting all sorts of intentional manufacturing damage on traditional DVD releases such as this one from 2003. "Battlestar Galactica - The Complete Epic Series", aside from boasting less than stellar box art (putting it mildly and the least of its problems)....had the following  manufacturing flaws...

1. Cracked discs sitting in the trays when you first opened this set after just buying it.

2. Disc freeze on random discs depending upon which set you bought. The set I bought had the disc freeze occurrring on Side 1, Disc 1. Where "Saga of a Star World" was placed. (Universal Studios never did like this pilot episode of "The 1978 Battlestar Galactica" series.)

3. Heavy grain on the episodes of this series. Primarily on...(you guessed it)...."Saga of a Star World."

I guess this is one of those instances (much like their ongoing and fake "Battlestar Galactica" press releases) that Universal Studios hopes that the mere passage of time and loss of memory by the general public will pardon them of their intentional wrongdoing.
