Sam Esmail: "A year and a half later, I still have no idea how to tackle this project overall and still have no idea how to set up the pilot episode."
1. A year and a half later....the scope, direction, and precise contents of the pilot episode should have been long since locked in by now.
2. A year and a half later....this supposed production should have long since passed the pre-production phase, and should have been physically built and cast by now.
3. A year and a half later....Filming should have been commencing on the pilot episode and wrapping up (wrapped up), with fluid plans in the process of filming the individual episodes, with many episodes being in the can by now.
4. A year and a half later....an auto mechanic doesn't stand over a car in need of repairs and say....
"I don't know how to fix this."
If he did, he would be gone in the wink of an eye. Long before a year and a half arriving.
Nothing personal but speaking thoroughly objectively, Sam Esmail was the wrong person hired by...."Comcast / NBC-Universal".... to do this job because he doesn't know how to do the job.If in fact, this sham production of his was ever actually in production.
