This little number is available in Germany. Complete with single sided discs, nice artwork on each disc, and a seventh disc for extras.
Believe it or not, Universal Studios actually gives the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series the ROYAL TREATMENT when it comes to DVD releases such as this overseas.

England also got treated to a much much nicer DVD set than the United States did. With once again, single sided discs, nice artwork on each disc, and a seventh disc reducing the cramming of all 17 episodes on to 6 discs which is what happened to the DVD set released in the United States.

And...saving the worst for last, this is the hunk of junk the United States got stuck with. Complete with cracked discs, freezing discs, heavy grain, dual layered discs and only 6 discs to cram all 17 episodes of the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series on to.
And who says there is no conspiracy going on at Universal Studios against the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series?
Luckily, I speak and write fluent German, so I'll effortlessly navigate my way right on through the http://www.amazon.de website in order to order their version of this DVD set, as well as ordering the British version of this. And I'll be playing both on my multi-regional DVD player.
Reviews of both sets forthcoming....
