Blunt, No Punches Pulled Observations of NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel. For Example, They Are a "Hoarding Corporation"

In this case, severe cluttering of the NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel corporate offices (with the  10 properties listed below and many more) so that those offices can no longer function normally as a business. When was the last time NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel functioned normally as a business? Primarily when they purchased the former Sci-Fi Channel and then mismanaged and neglected to sell the 10 properties listed below and many more?

 

 

1. NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel is a corporation that "hoards." They inexplicably and irrationally retain ownership of properties they have no use for, such as "Battlestar Galactica." And they also retain ownership of properties they have absolutely no idea how to manage ("Battlestar Galactica") or mismanage on purpose ("Battlestar Galactica".) If you don't know how to manage something or operate it, get rid of it...period.

 

I believe NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel as a corporation overall suffers from the pathological / compulsive condition known as "hoarding." Their ownership portfolio is massively cluttered with properties they have no use for, don't know how to manage (resulting in the properties laying dormant for decade after decade not making any money for them), or mismanage on purpose...

It's a unanimous conclusion that NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel is the lowest rung on the ladder in Hollywood when it comes to any sort of profit potential, attracting A-List talent and keeping it in-house, having the talent and inspired thinking to manage what they own, and knowing what to do with any sort of Science Fiction / Fantasy / Horror property.

 

NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel also repeatedly gives the impressions that (aside from being a deeply dysfunctional, broken, and troubled corporation) that they....

 

a. Do not fire executives for making dreadful errors in management such as how Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern have mismanaged the SyFy Channel...Because they are unwilling to jack up salaries to hire better quality people to manage the SyFy Channel.

 

b. That the SyFy Channel is the lowest rung in the ladder anywhere in Hollywood (collectively including the entire movie and television industries)...where personnel in front of and behind the camera go to because they can't get legitimate jobs anywhere else...

 

Such as all of the former 1970s television stars who keep showing up in all of the SyFy Channel's low budget crappy monster movies, and behind the scenes technical people who can't get noteworthy jobs on A-List productions because their technical skills suck ass...Such as that bargain basement CGI crew that keeps cranking out inferior looking CGI monsters for all of the SyFy Channel's crappy and low budget monster movies.

 

3. NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel quite frankly...has mutated into a "Half-Way House" - (the halfway point in the process of ending one's career in Hollywood, or for those who never had a legitimate career in Hollywood in the first place) where the supremely untalented go (in front of and behind the camera) to get their last gasp of air working in anything that remotely resembles Hollywood. In this case, it is the "Low Budget Capital of The World" where they work....Vancouver, British Columbia where all of these untalented people hired by NBC-U / SyFy Channel...work.
