Because...."Comcast / NBC-Universal (Universal Studios)"....sure as hell hasn't been making this ALLEGED...."Battlestar".....movie for the past two years.
"It's a megillah, humongous film and the prep will be a very long prep period so I would imagine even if we attached a director today it would take six, nine months to prep this movie properly," Kinberg said. "So at the earliest, we'd be shooting at the end of this year. We'd probably be shooting at the beginning of next year."
Well, we are now at the end of the very year Kinberg claimed his movie was supposed to have a director and start shooting.
No objective third party news coming from any direction has confirmed Kinberg's claims at this late date.
No reports of a director being signed. No casting news.

And read the books at another location where Universal Studios and its stealth marketers won't be able to post negative, misleading (stealth marketed) reviews of the books via them purchasing candy and Rogaine Foam on Amazon.com (allowing them access to the book review section) and not actually buying and reading the books.
