"Peacock more than doubled its audience in 2022 to 20 million subscribers; five million of them signed up during the final three months of the year alone. The service grew enough to show up in Nielsen’s streaming platform rankings for the first time in December, when it accounted for 1% of total streaming viewership."
That's good news for 'Peacock Streaming?' In what covert way?
"Sure, Peacock is still a relatively small bright spot in the much larger streaming constellation. It lags behind all its major rivals in terms of subscribers and total TV viewing; juggernaut Netflix, for instance, has 74 million subscribers in the US and Canada alone, and accounted for a whopping 7.5% of all streaming in December. Peacock also struggles with the same problem plaguing most streamers today: figuring out how to make money. Losses at the streamer widened during the final three months of 2022, and they are expected to peak at $3 billion this year."

"But Peacock also seems to have finally defined its brand. (And the name is sounding a lot less funny, at least compared to the newly renamed “Paramount+ with Showtime.”)
But What is 'Peacock's' brand that has (allegedly) been successfully defined? 'The most unsuccessful streaming service ever?'....'The ultimate garbage dump for all of 'NBC's old shows?'....'The ultimate subscribers deficient streaming service?'....'The home of 'Peacocok Originals' no one is ever excited about?'
"Even better, Peacock has finally found a slate of originals that viewers are excited about. The share of demand for its shows increased by more than a percentage point—to 2.7% last year—according to analytics firm Parrot, which measures social media chatter and fan reviews, among other sources. That’s still well below its competitors, including Paramount+, but individual shows are breaking out."
