There is a huge thread on the "Colonial Fleets" forum called "Battlestar Galactica to the Big Screen." The thread was enjoying a resurgence of late because Bryan Singer's highly suspicious claim of wanting to do a "Battlestar Galactica" movie which he announced in October 2011 was already beig derailed a month and a half later for a stupid ass "Munsters" remake.
Anyway, the conversation was going on for quite some time at a rather robust rate when a poster by the name of "Senmut" finally dropped an ANVIL into the middle of the conversation:
Re: Battlestar Galactica to the Big Screen?
"What the Hades Hole is it that scares folks away from a re-do of the real BSG?
All this evasion and delay seems more than a tad contrived."

This is what stopped the conversation dead in its tracks. Up to and including Universal Studios ever reliable (and psychotic sock puppet to the core) stealth marketer Russell Sanders evacuating the thread two days ago never to post in the thread again for the time being until the passage of time justifies this "oh so true" remark of "Senmut" to not be elaborated upon in the thread.
Well, I'm going to go ahead and elaborate on "Senmut's" conversation killing remark on "Colonial Fleets" right now:
Yes it is "more than a tad contrived", isn't it? I'll go much further than that. I would call it "repeated choreography and a repeated, orchestrated conspiracy" on the part of Universal Studios and Bryan Singer that every "Battlestar Galactica" movie they announce together or apart is deliberately derailed a short time later.
What repeatedly scares people away from bringing the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series back to life? Universal Studios doesn't want to get into it again with George Lucas. That's what is repeatedly scaring people (Universal Studios) away from relaunching the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series.
Of course, Universal Studios being the psychotic corporation it always has been, loves to announce a new "Battlestar Galactica 1978" movie every two years or so because they love to "piss people off."
All this evasion and delay seems more than a tad contrived."
