I think Universal Studios and Bryan Singer's bad habit of repeatedly re-announcing this movie in fake press releases such as the two fake preleases above has something to do with the laid-back Southern California lifestyle and mentality within the business world over there:

1. No following through with what you claim or announce.

2. Your word is as fleeting as the warm Los Angeles breezes.

3. If you want to abide by any code of business ethics, move to the Midwest.

4. What appears to be legitimate press releases are really just fleeting remarks.

Of course, the two above (fake) press releases have everything to do with Universal Studios and Bryan Singer wanting to play a never ending con game with the fanbase of the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series.
