The Stunning Mismanagement of "The 1978 Battlestar Galactica Series" Began in 1978 With "ABC-TV"

Let's focus on ABC-TV this time around, shall we? Their mismanagement of "The 1978 Battlestar Galactica" was riddled with endless contradictions from day one....

ABC-TV's mismanagement began with their mishandling and thorough overreaction to the mild violence in the pilot episode "Saga of a Star World." ABC-TV's "Standards & Practices" Department took a chain saw to every single originally filmed scene that even implied violence. Heck, they even cut out the "Soap Opera -esque" mild subplot of Serina suffering from an illness. Keep in mind that this was all fantasy violence.

Yet this same television network (ABC-TV) and their "Standards & Practices" Department allowed the "Roots Mini Series" to air (in 1976) as originally filmed (graphic violence included.) In the "Roots Mini Series", one poor slave was whipped repeatedly (on camera) until he would say the name given to him by his master. In another scene, another poor slave had his foot chopped off (on camera) when he was trying to run and escape from slavery and was eventually caught by his owner's henchmen.

Where was this same "Standards & Practices Department" of ABC-TV that cut everything out of "Saga of a Star World" due to mild cartoon violence, when the "Roots Mini Series" needed to be reviewed for very real....horrible and inhumane violence? This very real....horrible and inhumane violence.... should have been cut out by the same network that stunningly overreacted to the cartoon violence in "Saga of a Star World."

Food for thought.

And this brings us to Universal Studios, the infamous corporation that obviously doesn't have ALL of the cut footage from "Saga of a Star World" in its possession due to decades of mismanagement. If they did have it, they might have included it in the recent repackaging of the "Galactica - Complete Epic Series" released on February 18th, 2014.

Read the books Universal Studios has tried and failed to censor on Amazon.com...

And read these books at another location where Universal Studios executives and its stealth marketers won't be able to post negative, misleading (stealth marketed) reviews of the books via them purchasing candy and Rogaine Foam on Amazon.com (allowing them access to the Amazon book review section) and not actually buying and reading the books. I'll leave the other 150 global locations under wraps for now.
