After all, it's a business philosophy that has worked beautifully for them for the past 20 years, hasn't it?
1. Referring to itself by a name (SyFy) that doesn't remind anyone of the..."Science Fiction"...genre. As a matter of fact, it's a name that doesn't remind anyone of anything, except maybe a poorly spelled abbreviation for..."Syphillis"...
2. Burying itself in a website (SyFy.com) that comes across as a..."QVC"...mismanaged flea market with adolescents offering daily commentaries on such bland and extremely boring subject matter such as..."Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer"...clashing with such oddball puffy news stories such as..."Why Do Asteroids Explode In The Atmosphere?'....Who cares?
3. Taking the once great..."Sci-Fi Channel"...of the 1990's and mismanaging it all to hell during the past 20 years with a condescending attitude towards the entire Science Fiction genre which actually turned out to be a FRONT for the..."SyFy Channel"...actually not being talented enough, cerebral enough, inspired thinking enough, imaginative enough, and discerning enough to properly manage what was supposed to be a true Science Fiction channel all along.
4. Willingly doing business with..."The Asylum"...in the production of one of its television series..."Z Nation"...its offensive..."Sharknado"...series of low rated and low budget films, and other low budget films such as..."Ice Spiders." If there is one killer combination of a ..."Corporate Junk Duo"...that can always be counted upon to deliver junk television to the airwaves in bulk, it is the..."SyFy Channel"...and..."The Asylum"...
5. Openly admitting in public (over the Internet) that it waited for the other cable networks to begin doing Science Fiction television programming (and making good money at it) before it re-committed itself (for the umpteenth time) to having a schedule of 100% Science Fiction. This of course never happened, as well as the..."SyFy Channel"...never even coming close to making the sort of money that..."Netflix"...makes with its..."Stranger Things"...television series, as well as the sort of money that..."TNT"...makes with..."Walking Dead"....
The irony here is...is that the.."SyFy Channel"...which was supposed to be an honest to God Science Fiction cable network all along, looked to other cable networks for Science fiction related inspiration before it made its umpteenth attempt to re-commit itself to Science Fiction centered programming. The..."SyFy Channel"...of course keeps failing in its endeavors to do so because it LACKS the inspired thinking, imagination, proper funding, and right people (talented people) in management and down on the soundstages in Vancouver to appropriately compete with the other cable networks doing Science Fiction.
6. Would any other cable network in its right mind (being sane) have done or would do these television series or television movies?
a. Blood Drive
b. Geeks Who Drink
c. Into the Crapper - with Wil Wheaton
d. William Shatner's Full Moon Fright Night
e. Krypton
f. The Purge
g. Scare Tactics
h. Dream Team
i. Z Nation
j. Helix
k. Ronald D. Moore's..."GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)...series
l. Crossing Over - With John Edward
m. Sharknado
n. Ice Spiders
o. Sharktopus
p. Happy
7. Frequently perusing graphic novels, frequently by out of the mainstream publishing companies such as..."Dark Horse"...for television series ideas.
8. Frequently making television series out of box office flops....
a. 12 Monkeys (movie of the same name)
b. Helix (The SyFy Channel's remake of John Carpenter's..."Thing"...movie)
c. The Purge - (The movies of the same name)
d. Blood Drive (The SyFy Channel's remake of Quentin Tarantino's and Robert Rodriguez's..."Grindhouse"...film.)
It's enough to make you dizzy isn't it? In its infinite capacity to clash with sound business logic.

Read about the books Universal Studios has tried and failed to censor on Amazon.com, as well as other stuff...
And read the books at another location where Universal Studios and its stealth marketers won't be able to post negative, misleading (stealth marketed) reviews of the books via them purchasing candy and Rogaine Foam on Amazon.com (allowing them access to the book review section) and not actually buying and reading the books.
