quote - "It's not hard for anyone to write up and place a press release on the wires." - unquote

Even Universal Studios and Bryan Singer can do it...repeatedly!! As in the two cases above.

One of my many "Public Service Safety Messages" for the general public instructing and warning them to avoid Universal Studios and Bryan Singer (and any fake press releases they put forth) at all costs.

It wouldn't hurt either to BOYCOTT any future productions Universal Studios and Bryan Singer may create either individually or collectively.

My personal definition of  "Consumer Activism" as it applies to "The 1978 Battlestar Galactica" series....

Making the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series readily available to the general public at any time in any form the general public so chooses or requests...whether it be a new theatrical production, a new television production, or high quality DVD releases regardless of how Universal Studios and Bryan Singer personally feel about the matter.

Universal Studios and Bryan Singer are not in the business of putting forth their "personal opinions" of a property, and then using their "personal opinions" to "withhold indefinitely"...a property, copyright, or consumer product from public consumption...as Universal Studios and Bryan Singer have been doing since 2001 with the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series.

Their "personal opinions" are irrelevant in this matter. Their jobs are only suppose to involve, supplying product to the general public for mass consumption...period.

The "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series is a consumer product for the masses...period. And because it is a consumer product for the masses, it deserves the same unbiased considerations and treatment as any other consumer product does, whether it be a box of "Fruit Loops" or a 34 year old television series.

The manufacturer of "Cocoa Pebbles Breakfast Cereal" may hate the product within its corporate offices, but they still produce the product in mass quantities regardless.

The "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series is not a political weapon of the "Universal Studios Black Tower", as Universal Studios has been utilizing it as...against the general public since 1978.

Universal Studios (And its Notorious Entourage) Are Always At Ground Zero in Not Grasping Pop Culture Sensibilities

Universal Studios (and the two notorious members of its routine entourage pictured above) lack basic pop culture sensibilities when it comes to trying to find a way to compete with the likes of "Star Wars" and "Star Trek."

Bringing "Battlestar Galactica" into the 21st Century should have and could have been a no-brainer for the three morons pictured above.

A long dormant, sleeping giant of a property, the ("1978 Battlestar Galactica" series) with enormous potential and given an unfair shake during its original broadcast by ABC-TV via its enormous potential to compete with "Star Wars" and "Star Trek", is brought into the 21st Century with its enormous potential finally realized...only to have that potential (and the opportunity) squandered by a studio infested by corporate drones with zero imagination, a former "Star Trek" staff writer who ultimately turned out to be a big fizzle creatively when not under Rick Berman's nurturing wing, and a former theatrical director who killed the "Superman" character in a terrible movie who is having a hard time right now just trying to pick up the jigsaw puzzle pieces of his career after that fact.

"Battlestar Galactica" has not and is not competing with the "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" franchises right now not because it doesn't have the enormous potential to do so on the same epic scale, but because the property keeps ending up in the wrong hands (Ronald D. Moore, Bryan Singer) who either turn the property into a steaming pile of dog shit ("GINO", "Caprica", "Blood & Chrome"), or do absolutely nothing with the property at all one way or the other since 2001.

Universal Studios (never having any great love for the "Galactica" property in the first place) is always contented to turn the property over to Hollywood's dumbest, in order to turn what could be a mass market, pop culture phenomenon...into an unwatchable, depressing mess of dysfunctionality for the "Avante Garde, Lunatic Fringe" that Universal Studios always loves to pander to with the "Battlestar Galactica" property, rather than making money in a logical and progressive, mass market sort of way with "Battlestar Galactica." The end product of course, always being "Battlestar Galactica" in name only.

This "Avante Garde Lunatic Fringe" that Universal Studios loves so much, never measuring as so much as a "blip" on anyone's demographic radar in any area of Hollywood marketing known to mankind.

Between the combined, zero imagination and uninspired thinking of Universal Studios, Ronald D. Moore, and Bryan Singer..."Battlestar Galactica" remains the sleeping giant it always has been, fully capable of competing with "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" if it is ever owned and utlized by the right people in the future.

Universal Studios never has anything to compete with "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" because they're always too busy "snickering" at "Battlestar Galactica" or anything Science Fiction related. The results are clear for all to see. Universal Studios does not have a "Tent Pole Science Fiction Franchise" of any sort to compete in the mass market, pop culture arena.

This "snickering" by Universal Studios in my estimation, is really a camouflage activity on their part to hide the fact that their studio in particular in Hollywood, is run by people with zero imagination, zero inspired thinking, and an overall deficiency and inability in their corporate psyche to have its finger on the pulse of pop culture sensibilities.

Marginal And Underwhelming Management at Universal Studios Reduced "Battlestar Galactica" to These Nonsensical and Repulsive Productions

These three productions are now exactly where they belong. Rotting away in the discount DVD bins at Wal-Mart, and languishing as slashed price fodder on http://www.amazon.com

Universal Studios less than half-hearted corporate attempt to bring "Battlestar Galactica" into the 21st Century with these three low rated, low budgeted, and low imagination based productions failed to awake the sleeping giant that is still the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series.

Thanks to the above "yawning" induced productions, "Battlestar Galactica" (the brand name) fails to compete with "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" in magnitude of pop culture popularity.

Small minds produce small profits.

The Past Always Has a Way of Coming Back to Haunt Universal Studios and Bryan Singer, Doesn't It?

October 21st, 2011 Press Release

August 3rd, 2012 Press Release

Especially when their past is preserved forever on videotape.

I think Universal Studios and Bryan Singer's bad habit of repeatedly re-announcing this movie in fake press releases such as the two fake preleases above has something to do with the laid-back Southern California lifestyle and mentality within the business world over there:

1. No following through with what you claim or announce.

2. Your word is as fleeting as the warm Los Angeles breezes.

3. If you want to abide by any code of business ethics, move to the Midwest.

4. What appears to be legitimate press releases are really just fleeting remarks.

Of course, the two above (fake) press releases have everything to do with Universal Studios and Bryan Singer wanting to play a never ending con game with the fanbase of the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series.
