Simply because Steven Spielberg has been such a success his entire life, he hasn't needed to work ever again (for decades) if he so chose and chooses now.
So any movies he were to make for Universal Studios at this point would just be a gift and a personal favor.
In the meantime, Universal Studios remains..."Up Shit's Creek"....at the..."Box Office"...

And read the books at another location where Universal Studios and its stealth marketers won't be able to post negative, misleading (stealth marketed) reviews of the books via them purchasing candy and Rogaine Foam on Amazon.com (allowing them access to the book review section) and not actually buying and reading the books.
