Was "Nightflyers" an Attempt by "NBC-Universal/SyFy Channel" to Test The Financial Viability (On a Small Scale) of a "Battlestar Galactica" Theatrical Film?

A laboratory test if you will?

And then lo and behold..."Certain Factions"....(wink, wink)...within..."Comcast-Universal/SyFy Channel"...caught wind of this test and sabotaged the entire operation by rush airing..."Nightflyers"...over 5 consecutive nights (with minimal advertising) to keep its ratings low on purpose?

"Sorry guys. The test just didn't work!! No...'Battlestar Galactica"....theatrical film."

The test....

1. Full scale physical sets (built on a sound stage) of a spaceship. Epic in scope.

2. State of the art visual effects.

"Certain Factions" - The same characters who have been firmly in place at Universal Studios since 1979 absolutely against the revival of the..."1978 Battlestar Galactica Series"...no matter what. Sabotaging any effort that may have existed going back 41 consecutive years to bring the series back.
