...When The "GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only) cast members were utterly decimated with awkward ridicule from David Letterman's studio audience back in 2008.
Many awkward and painful to watch realities going on here all at once:
1. This series was clearly an ongoing mass market / ratings flop by the time this painful moment rolled around because Letterman's mass market audience clearly didn't know who these cast members were. Thus, the awkward snickers from the audience...painful moments of dead silence....a clearly audible off camera stage hand having to rally the audience into applause when the..."Top 10 List"....began.
2. At this moment in time, SyFy Channel and Ronald D. Moore clearly were refusing to acknowledge the business reality that they had a flop on their hands that never should have made it to the first season.
3. In many ways, this clip perfectly illustrates what can happen when the wrong people end up in decision making positions in television, and don't even know the nuts & bolts of their own business, and all of the painful business realities that come with it. Refusing to acknowledge when a series needs to be cancelled (long before a fourth season in this case.) If the right people had been managing the SyFy Channel all along (Sci-Fi Channel back in 2008), it never would have reached the point of these hapless cast members unintentionally making fools out of themselves on David Letterman's show back in 08 simply by being there. Simply by showing up.
4. There were clearly political reasons only why this show survived this long despite low ratings. Those political reasons finally coming to a head (on Letterman's show) and clashing with the unfortunate reality of not being a mass market and commercial darling of the viewing audience.
5. We can only pray that the likes of Ronald D. Moore and SyFy Channel will never partner again for any reason mistaking themselves as providers of attractive entertainment for the mass market audience.

Read the books Universal Studios has tried and failed to censor on Amazon.com...

And read these books at another location where Universal Studios executives and its stealth marketers won't be able to post negative, misleading (stealth marketed) reviews of the books via them purchasing candy and Rogaine Foam on Amazon.com (allowing them access to the Amazon book review section) and not actually buying and reading the books. I'll leave the other 150 global locations under wraps for now.
