This Blog Will Sum Up and Correct What The Author of This "SyFy Channel" Article Got Wrong in its Assessment of The "Wild, Wild West" Movie

https://www.syfy.com/syfywire/50-thoughts-we-had-while-watching-wild-wild-west

1. Robert Conrad was so..."RIGHT"....(perfectly cast)...for the role of Jim West that it is unthinkable for anyone else to play the role. Even the great Will Smith (as enjoyable an actor to watch as he is in everything else he does)...shouldn't have been cast as Jim West. As was Ross Martin perfectly cast as Artemus Gordon and also impossible for any other actor to play this role as well.

2. Will Smith admitted recently that this movie shouldn't have been made and that he shouldn't have played Jim West. He also admitted that the role will always belong to the great Robert Conrad.

3. No mention is made that Robert Conrad and Ross Martin definitively played Jim West and Artemus Gordon...in this article??

4. That the movie was based on the 1965-1969 television series?

5. It was clear and mentioned many times in the television series what the missions of West and Gordon were. They worked for President Ulysses S. Grant (from 1869-1877) from the beginning in the Secret Service to investigate reports of goofy goings on in the wild west primarily instigated by Dr. Miguelito Loveless with his impossible to exist (at the time)..."Jules Verne-esque"...."Steam Punk-esque"....inventions. West and Gordon weren't recruited at some later date to work for the president after a series of fantastic events randomly occurred. What would have been their motivation for investigating these events in the first place if they weren't working for the president in the first place and assigned by him to investigate these fantastic goings on specifically? They both would have been sitting in taverns somewhere getting drunk, instead. Not giving a shit about giant mechanical spiders.

This blog rolls its eyes yet again at yet another impossible to decipher article written on the..."SyFy.com"....website. By authors who don't know the subject matter (at all) of what they are writing about.

So what else is new?

Read about the books Universal Studios has tried and failed to censor on Amazon.com, as well as other stuff...

And read the books at another location where Universal Studios and its stealth marketers won't be able to post negative, misleading (stealth marketed) reviews of the books via them purchasing candy and Rogaine Foam on Amazon.com (allowing them access to the book review section) and not actually buying and reading the books.
