Little Magic in "Jack The Giant Slayer"

http://www.in.com/news/entertainment/little-magic-in-jack-the-giant-slayer-50190697-in-1.html

Is it back to the "Magnum Gold Ice Cream Commercials" for Bryan Singer?

So, How Much Longer Does Universal Studios & Bryan Singer Intend to Keep Up Their "Fake" Battlestar Galactica Press Releases?

Universal Studios "Fake" Battlestar Galactica" Press Release on October 21st, 2011. Their fourth "Fake" Battlestar press release following their other "Fake" Battlestar press releases in 2009, 2008, and 2001.

Bryan Singer's "Fake" Battlestar Galactica Press Release (Follow-Up) to the above "Fake" Press Release on August 3rd, 2012. Singer's fourth "Fake" Press Release following his other "Fake" Battlestar Press Releases in 2009, 2008, and 2001.

Bryan Singer's latest claim that the above movie "has been placed on hold" did nothing to establish his credibility as a reliable source of information. And Singer never was a reliable source of credible information.

Without a Doubt, This Will Probably Be The Very First "Intentionally Damaged" Blu-Ray Disc Universal Studios Ever Releases

Let's be honest here. The temptation would just be too great here for Universal Studios to let this title slide without some sort of "Intentionally Damaged" quirks.

Let's run through the checklist of symptoms this Blu-Ray Disc will probably have long before Universal Studios ever gets around to inflicting them.

These symptoms of course, based upon Universal Studios release of this title in 2003 with all sorts of intentionally damaged symptoms.

Universal Studios mark of shame in October 2003. "Battlestar Galactica - The Complete Epic Series" pictured directly above had the following intentional manufacturing flaws...

1. Cracked and scratched discs sitting in their trays as customers discovered while unwrapping this item from its factory plastic wrap for the very first time.

2. Discs bouncing around loose leaf before the package was ever opened for the first time.

3. At the other end of the spectrum, discs so tightly tucked into their trays you almost had to break them to remove them for the very first time.

4. The pilot episode..."Saga of a Star World" not being digitally remastered at all.

5. Heavy grain, pops, and specs in the episodes....primarily in "Saga of a Star World."

6. Disc freeze in many of the episodes...primarily "Saga of a Star World" because too much "extras" content was crammed onto the double sided discs.

Yes, the release of "Battlestar Galactica" on Blu-Ray is going to be a real "Circus" isn't it?

Is There a Reason Why Bryan Singer Has to Be His Own Publicist?

If the extent of Bryan Singer's self promotional marketing powers is this snapshot of two wheelchairs which he claims are props from the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" movie he is supposedly directing, then perhaps his future as a Hollywood film director is indeed in question.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/02/26/bryan-singer-jack-the-giant-slayer_n_2744302.html

I've studied Hollywood and how it does business long enough to know that when a one-time movie director such as Bryan Singer has to resort to 100% self promotion, such as using "Twitter" and other outlets on the Internet to promote his own upcoming movie ("Jack The Giant Slayer") and a movie he may or not be directing in reality ("X-Men: Days of Future Past"), there is something very, very wrong going on.

You can't help but get the impression from reading the article above that Bryan Singer has been pretty much abandoned by the studio system in general, the studio specifically responsible for "Jack The Giant Slayer", and that this "Slayer" movie has had next to nothing of a promotional budget. Singer is just out in the wilderness by himself with no studio behind him helping him promote "Jack The Giant Slayer." I suspect that the studio responsible for "Jack The Giant Slayer" has already given up on it days before its release, anticipating a very disappointing box office performance, and hasn't spent the expected dollars on promotion as a result.

A couple of other things about this article as well...

1. Bryan Singer's last theatrical film was "Valkyrie" 6 years ago. That had a disappointing box office immediately after the monumental failure of "Superman Returns." "Jack The Giant Slayer" is predicted to be another flop. Will Bryan Singer be allowed to move forward as the director of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" when / if this happens? Once again, How Hollywood does business and what Bryan Singer is claiming just aren't meshing together. That a director with 2-3 flops in a row would be allowed to direct an X-Men movie and be trusted with a production budget in the hundreds of millions of dollars. It would be the same thing as trusting Michael Cimino to direct "X-Men: Days of Future Past" after the failure of "Heaven's Gate." It's a known fact in Hollywood that when a movie director's commercial / mass market instincts have been proven to be out of whack 2-3 times in a row, they aren't going to be trusted with a production budget in the hundreds of millions of dollars ever again. From what I understand in how Hollywood works, Bryan Singer has a bright future directing low budget theatrical films, or working in television from here on in.

2. Bryan Singer thinks he can be trusted with casting news and other tidbits of information about "X-Men: Days of Future Past" he releases on "Twitter" without any oversight? Really? After a track record like this??

It Would Seem The Last Decade or So of Bryan Singer's Endless and Consistent Fake Press Releases Have Taken its Toll On His Career and His Former Fans (If He Ever Had Any)

Because the public is now lashing out at everything he does or doesn't do...

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/JoshWildingNewsAndReviews/news/?a=74622

I especially enjoyed this particular comment from an unhappy native who is now a FORMER Bryan Singer fan....among many more FORMER Bryan Singer fans...if they were ever his fans...

"Bryan Singer Sucks. Bottom line!

Anyone who has had as many failures as he can claim has no right to love themselves half as much as he does. The man is a tweeter hound and a glory seeker and I for one am not interested in his BORING return to the X-franchise. Stop teasing pics of wheelchairs a*#*#le, and concentrate on making the movie at least halfway decent. I'm sick of reading posts about anything he has to say.

Now I feel better.

Thanks"

Isn't it truly special moments like this when you just want to lean back in your lounge chair and light-up a cigar?

Perhaps it's time for Bryan Singer and his fellow "Fake Press Release Soul Mates" at NBC-Universal to re-evaluate whatever strategy they were pursuing with their endless "Fake Battlestar Galactica Press Releases" dating back to 2001 (among many others) because from all appearances...it looks like it is backfiring on the two of them.

And the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series isn't going to be forgotten or given up on by the millions who remember it fondly, or the younger generations who love it as well, just because two overgrown adolescents in the forms of Bryan Singer and NBC-Universal (Singer - Versal) have been playing "Fake Press Release Games" with the property since 2001.

Bryan Singer and Universal Studios Are So Terrible at What They Do For a Living That They Might as Well Just Merge into a Singular Corporate Entity

I propose the new corporate name...

"SINGER - VERSAL"

That's right. NBC-Universal and Bryan Singer should just merge and become a singular corporate entity...

"SINGER - VERSAL"

The two of them are so much alike in their approaches to the "Battlestar Galactica" property and science fiction overall that they might as well just merge.

1. Universal Studios and Bryan Singer both hate the "Battlestar Galactica" property.

2. They hate it to the extent of having announced "Fake" new productions beginning in 2001 via "Fake" press releases and are continuing to do so 12 years later....Bi-ennially.

3. Universal Studios (NBC-Universal) and Bryan Singer both suck big time at doing Science Fiction and even just touching it. The SyFy Channel..."Cowboys & Aliens"...."Superman Returns"...I'll even go so far as to say that the first two "X-Men" movies weren't the greatest. Singer has a habit of diluting strong science fiction concepts into a bland movie-going experience and trying to make up for it by casting strong actors such as Patrick Stewart. Of course, Bryan Singer is the only director on the planet who succeeded in making a "Superman" movie thoroughly boring and misguided in every conceivable department of filmmaking. From casting to script.

And then when Universal Studios and Bryan Singer bomb big time at making a science fiction movie or tv show (and when they bomb, they bomb big time!! [Superman Returns, Cowboys & Aliens] for example)...they deny it!! They always claim that there is absolutely nothing wrong with what they did. Look at NBC-Universal. Let's face it. Ronald D. Moore's "GINO" series was a huge flop. It didn't break into the mass market. It was a marginally tolerable little shit series on a really irritating cable network (SyFy) that has always claimed it never makes mistakes in television programming. There were early warning signs that the "GINO" series was going to flop, such as when the initial mini-series got the lowest audience test scores in television history.

4. They both lie (regularly) in an endless series of "Fake" press releases.

The two of them are so much alike, aren't they?

I can see it now...A new corporate entity is emerging on the horizon....

"SINGER - VERSAL"

Bryan Singer's Vastly Over-Budgeted "Jack The Giant Slayer" is Shaping Up as The "B-Movie Bomb of The Year"

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/big-budget-jack-giant-slayer-423042

On this rare...rare...rare....rare....rare occasion when Bryan Singer completes a project of any sort, it's looking like "Jack The Giant Slayer" will do nothing to kick-start Bryan Singer's (from all appearances) stalled career as a movie director.

I have four predictions myself for this movie and how its box office performance will impact Bryan Singer....

1. The soft performance of "Jack The Giant Slayer" at the box office will return Bryan Singer to the permanent womb of NBC-TV and the SyFy Channel, where he will always be on call to do anything that is needed for them. Directing movies of the week for NBC, directing a trashy monster movie or two for the SyFy Channel, and making guest appearances on the various and trashy SyFy Channel shows. Of course, Bryan Singer will continue to be on call to Universal Studios to always release his "Fake" Battlestar Galactica movie announcements every two years. Expect his next one in the Fall of 2013.

2. Bryan Singer will continue to direct "Magnum Gold Ice Cream Commercials."

3. Bryan Singer will eventually find his way directing sitcoms of this nature for the Disney Channel, perhaps under a pseudonym...

4. This list created by Bryan Singer will continue to grow by leaps & bounds...

NBC-TV Falls to Fifth Place Behind "Univision!!" That's Right!! Behind "Univision!!"

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/02/21/nbc-sweeps-fifth-place-ratings-univision_n_2735466.html?utm_hp_ref=mostpopular

Excuse me? Aren't the people working in the "Black Tower" above supposed to be experts in their field? I mean, these are the people who actually claimed to know what they are doing when managing the SyFy Channel and the "Battlestar Galactica" property!! Look at how well both of those scenarios panned out!!....Cough!! (rolling my eyes)....Now, the people working in that "Black Tower" pictured above have also caused the entire NBC Television Network to fall behind this network in the ratings!!

This is like "ESPN" falling behind The "Home Shopping Network" in the ratings!!

What do they call it in the business world when something like this happens? Corporate employees get...."Pink-Slipped?"...."Canned?"...."Terminated?"....."Fired?" ...."Clean your desk out?"....

Congratulations to these lovely Spanish folks for beating NBC-TV in the ratings by the way!!

The Decade of The 2000s Will Not Only Be Remembered as The Decade NBC-Universal Trashed "Battlestar Galactica" and The SyFy Channel Simultaneously....

...But also as the decade NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel made a "Public Spectacle" out of themselves while doing so....

Everyone working in the "NBC-Universal Black Tower" (pictured above) has nothing to be proud of in their lack of achievements with televised science fiction and "Battlestar Galactica" during the 2000s, and their business conduct while doing so.

Aaaahh yes!! The 2000s. The decade when Universal Studios full blown hatred of the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series came to blatant fruition after two previous decades of trashing the series in bits and pieces here and there....

1. Universal Studios not reviving the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series in the midst of the revived syndication market for science fiction television programming in 1987 caused by "Star Trek: The Next Generation", in 1992 caused by "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine", in 1993 caused by "Babylon 5", and in 1994 caused by "Star Trek: Voyager."

2. Universal Studios totally ignoring the 10th year anniversay of the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series in September 1988.

3. Universal Studios trashing the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series in the fall of 1980 with a series of badly edited, syndicated television movies badly spliced together from the actual 17 episodes of the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series.

4. Universal Studios trashing the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series in badly manufactured VHS tapes of the series in the fall of 1986. The episodes released of course, not being the best episodes of the series. Only half the episodes released.

Can we ever forget Universal Studios biggest corporate / manufacturing blunder (on purpose) directed against the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" in October 2003? When they released the "Abomination" known as "Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Epic Series" on 6 double sided (defective) DVD discs? Not only was this hunk of trash vastly overpriced ($119.00) by Universal Studios, but discs were cracked sitting in the DVD trays as consumers discovered when unwrapping the DVD set from its factory cellophane for the very first time, many discs froze while playing, the pilot episode wasn't digitally remastered or cleaned up at all for appropriate DVD presentation (it looked and still looks like shit), and this dysfunctional business trend of Universal Studios continued with many other classic Universal Studios released on DVD, such as "Dragnet" and "Night Gallery."

The decade of the 2000s was also the decade when Universal Studios hired monumentally untalented scriptwriter and producer Ronald D. Moore to "Star Trek The Hell Out of"....the "Battlestar Galactica" property in a thoroughly misguided and badly envisioned series of reimaginings infamously known as "GINO"...."Caprica"....and "Blood & Chrome."

Remember when NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel was also making an "Embarrassing / Public Spectacle" out of themselves during this era with embarrassing (to say the least) publicity photos for their "Crap Take" on "Battlestar Galactica" such as these two photos?

I guess in the decade of the 2000s, it was stylish for "hack" television producers and scriptwriters such as Ronald D. Moore to have this "I'm a tough guy" expression on your face (publicity photo) when suffering from the mistaken impression of having a smash hit television series on your hands. If anything, Ronald D. Moore gave the impression in this photo that he needed "Manic-Depression Therapy." In an "Eerie Coincidence", this is the exact same facial expression Edward James Olmos always had on his face at the time.

I loved this photo!! When the SyFy Channel and the "GINO" cast members were so delusional that they actually believed they had a smash hit television series on their hands. The SyFy Channel and the "GINO" cast members pictured here were so desperate to have their own "Prestige Show" on the order of Alan Alda and "MASH"...that they were willing to pretend that they did in this photo, even if the SyFy Channel and the "GINO" cast members pictured here weren't even in the ballpark vicinity of having a "Prestige Show."

That's what is so diabolically disgusting about the SyFy Channel and the "GINO" cast members during this era. They were all encased in their little delusional bubble of self convincing, totally cut off from reality that they were just a second rate, hack cable channel making a second rate, hack cable show. They didn't and never had fame and prestige, but they just forged ahead anyway acting like they did.

Simultaneously, NBC-Universal was also trashing the once great Sci-Fi Channel with delusions of grandeur of turning the channel into..."Nothing About Nothing"...with its present "Venereal Disease Moniker".....SyFy Channel. Before the channel became SyFy however, NBC-Universal was working its ass off to reach the point of calling it SyFy by cancelling the likes of "Farscape", every series with the parent title "Stargate" in it, ceasing broadcasting classic science fiction movies and replacing them with originally produced, hunks of dog turds such as "Mansquito", "Ice Spiders", and "Sharktopus." The 2000s was also the decade when NBC-Universal came up with the ludicrous, incredulous, and assinine ideas of broadcasting non-Science Fiction programming on the once great Sci-Fi Channel. Viewers were polluted with the likes of the "Cape Fear" movie, "CSI: Miami" reruns, WWF Wrestling, reality shows, and a cooking show. All of the crap programming NBC-Universal's accidental and usual demographic of "Trailer Park Retards With Buck Teeth" they inadverdently kept reaching (on the SyFy Channel) could possibly hope for.

How unfortunate that NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel also deleted the old http://scifi.com/galactica forum of the 2000s they used to argue with the general public on concering such topics as "Battlestar Galactica" and how much they sucked at managing it. They're erasing their tracks as they go...I get it.

As a sidenote, don't be surprised if reruns of "Maury Povich" begin showing up on the SyFy Channel.

Bryan Singer's "Virtual Reality / Imaginary Career" on The Internet Continues to Grow By Leaps & Bounds

Are these really Professor Xavier's wheelchairs from the supposedly upcoming "X-Men: Days of Future Past" movie, or is this really a picture of the front desk area of a "Maternity Ward" of a local hospital in Vancouver British Columbia?

Is this really a corridor from the supposedly upcoming "X-Men: Days of Future Past" movie, or is it merely a ventilation shaft under construction in some Vancouver British Columbia hotel?

As we all know, Bryan Singer spends more time on the Internet posting information about himself that is always ultimately proven to be false....

...Than he does actually making movies or anything at all in the real physical world. Through Bryan Singer's own fault, his lies and physical reality have become permanently blurred and tangled up with one another.

What Bryan Singer has successfully built for himself however, is a "Virtual Reality / Imaginary" career for himself on the Internet where he can be the director of anything he wants to be via an endless series of ongoing and "Fake" press releases.

The downside of all of this for Bryan Singer however, is that any real career he could have built for himself in the real physical world of Hollywood, has instead mutated into a "Virtual Reality / Imaginary" career on the Internet as "Fake" as any episodes of "Ghost Adventures" or "Ghost Hunters."

You can't trust a thing this guy says anymore. He has recently gone to the extreme of posting photos on the Internet which supposedly show the supposed stages of progress he is making in supposedly directing "X-Men: Days of Future Past." Two of the photos displayed above clearly show that they have the appearance of having absolutely nothing to do with "X-Men: Days of Future Past." They could be photos of just about anything in this life.

Which brings us to another point. How could a director supposedly immersed neck deep in the physical preproduction process of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" have the time to spend this much time (7 days a week it seems) on the Internet posting this much information ("Fake" it would seem) on his own behalf?  Including taking endless photos. Bryan Singer is more concerned (obsessed it would seem) giving the appearance (misleading it would seem) on the Internet that he is actively working on something than actually working on something in reality, in the real physical world.

Bryan Singer has thus far, posted 26 consecutive "Fake" press releases archived in the list above, all proven to be false. After all of that juvenile nonsense, are we to believe that he was even hired as the director of "X-Men: Days of Future Past?"

Bryan Singer has created a huge problem for himself in that whenever he claims to be directing a movie or televison series, the general public has to wait 6 months to a year for the physical evidence to pan out that that is indeed what he is doing. This certainly hasn't happened in the previous 26 times archived in the list above. Bryan Singer posting his own supposedly true information on his own behalf 7 days a week on the Internet doesn't count.

I have yet to hear any reliable word from "20th Century Fox" itself that Bryan Singer has indeed been hired as the director of "X-Men: Days of Future Past."

What Are The Four Surefire Signs That "Jack The Giant Slayer" is in Deep, Deep Trouble 9 Days Before it Debuts in Theaters?

1. Showing your monsters.....up close....in crystal clear detail.....in movie posters....months before the movie is even released and long before audiences think about forking over $25.00 for themselves and their kids to see the stupid movie.

The whole purpose of monster movies is to not show your monsters right away so that audiences will be in for a treat (a surprise) by seeing them for the first time while watching the stupid movie for the very first time. That's why audiences pay for movie tickets, to be surprised with something they haven't seen before. Audiences shouldn't even have seen these creatures such as the one above until they were actually sitting in the theater and watching the movie for the very first time. Now, thanks to the idiotic advertising of this movie such as the poster above, audiences have no reason to pay to see this movie because they have already seen the monsters for months on end (up close) in this incredulous and idiotic advertising campaign. Even during the movie, these creatures shouldn't have been revealed to the audience until the 45 minute mark or later.

2. Now that the cat is out of the bag, audiences have been able to see in these movie posters (for months on end) that these creatures are nothing but poorly rendered CGI creations, and aren't even scary looking. They look like "Play-Doh" versions of Jim Morrison and Keith Richards after a rough night of alcohol and drugs.

3. Next to zero television advertising. Has anyone seen commercials for this stupid movie yet? I haven't. And we're at the 9 day count-down mark to theatrical release. Shaving it pretty close, aren't we?

4. Relying on Bryan Singer to promote this thing on the Internet all by himself. Who believes anything he says anymore? No one on the Internet, that's for sure!! Bryan Singer is now ignored on the Internet, and he's all by himself.

NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel is The "Anti-Science Fiction" and The "Anti-Battlestar Galactica" Corporation

The notorious "Universal Studios Black Tower", where crappy decisions involving the entire Science Fiction genre have been routinely made since they purchased the once great Sci-Fi Channel (and proceeded to obliterate it via bad management) in the late 1990s.

The "Black Tower's" routine mismanagement of the "Battlestar Galactica" property since 1978 has resulted in this "Third Potential Space Fantasy Property" right behind "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" being afflicted with....

...."Corporate Mismanagement Downs Syndrome"........

"Battlestar Galactica" has been "Mentally Retarded" from decades of mismanagement from the above "Black Tower", and Ronald D. Moore's ludicrous misinterpretations of the property.

Justice in the form of "Bad Karma" has struck right back at NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel however. All three of their ludicrous misinterpretations of "Battlestar Galactica"...

1. GINO
2. Caprica
3. Blood & Chrome

are never in demand in the forms of "Stripped Syndication Packages", either domestically or internationally. No one anywhere in the world wants to buy these three stupid productions and rerun them 5 days a week on their television stations. The reasons are...

1. GINO was four low rated seasons of bad scriptwriting and producing.

2. Caprica only ran for what....5 episodes?

3. Blood & Chrome was a one shot turd movie on SyFy Channel already as looked down upon as was the "Mockingbird Lane" movie on NBC last October.

Where are all three of these productions now? Buried somewhere in the domestic Wal-Mart DVD inventory always drastically on sale, and always drastically on sale on http://www.amazon.com.

Gee, I wonder why!!

It's back to the corporate drawing boards for NBC-Universal when it comes to them always demanding that Science Fiction and "Battlestar Galactica" be done their way (the sucky, incorrect way and lacking any sort of profits sort of way), or no way at all, isn't it?

It Would Be an Interesting Scholarly and Psychological Study as to Why Universal Studios and Bryan Singer Can't Exist Professionally Without Lying About "Battlestar Galactica"

Universal Studios October 21st, 2011 "Fake" Battlestar Galactica press release. Following its three previous "Fake" Battlestar Galactica press releases in 2009, 2008, and 2001.

Bryan Singer's August 3rd, 2012 "Fake" follow-up to the above "Fake" press release from Universal Studios. Which of course followed Bryan Singer's previous "Fake" Battlestar Galactica press releases in 2009, 2008, and 2001.

NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel Sure as Heck "Deep-Sixed" The "Blood & Chrome" Movie Quickly, Didn't They?

One quick little broadcast on the SyFy Channel and...."Poof!!"...."Blood & Chrome" was gone from the airwaves forever!! A surefire sign that NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel knew all along that they had a "Turd" on their hands. Not mass market friendly by any means. Yet another product of the "Oddball Corporate Thinking" of NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel...where they solely make products with the "Battlestar Galactica" brand name slapped on them for their...."Oddball Andy Warhol Goofball Friends on Wall Street"...who do nothing but stare at freshly splashed paint drying on the walls all day long and contemplate any deep psychological meanings they may see while sipping champagne.

"Blood & Chrome" is now headed for the dreaded destination where all SyFy Channel productions end up...On bargain basement DVD at your local Wal-Mart collecting dust on the DVD shelves sitting next to the "Bugs Bunny / Yosemite Sam" Discount DVD Packs."

Everyone in the NBC-Universal Black Tower can now pat each other on the back for failing to contribute once again...anything of residual value to the "Battlestar Galactica" property or the Science Fiction genre overall. Just more of their patented...."Crap TV.".....Attention Maury Povich!!

Is it Reasonable to Assume That These Two Major Events Stripped Bryan Singer of The "Clout" Necessary to Make Movies?

Bryan Singer's professional split with Tom DeSanto. You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to realize that Bryan Singer gets very little to nothing at all done everytime he wants to direct a movie since splitting with Tom DeSanto. This would certainly lead one to believe that it was DeSanto who was the actual "Engine Room" of the partnership. Securing financial backing for the movies Singer wanted to direct, and harnassing all of the resources necessary in pre-production to get Singer's movies made within a reasonable amount of time.

The artistic, commercial, and critical failure of "Superman Returns."

It's very easy to see that these two events have reduced Bryan Singer to a "Court Jester" screaming for attention on the Internet, the home base of his present, imaginary career. Singer is now an endlessly hopping bunny rabbit, bouncing from one endless...."Fake"....press release to another....never making the movie or television productions he previously announced. Bryan Singer from all appearances is now running on "Fumes", lacking any sort of "Clout" needed to make any of the projects he announced below.
