There are two other blatant circumstances where the..."SyFy Channel"...didn't know what audience to go after as well...

 

Remember this sucker from 2009? I challenge anyone to accurately assess what audience the..."SyFy Channel"...was trying to after with this poorly conceived promo. This promo was also apparently trying to ambiguously define what the..."SyFy Channel's"...."Ambiguous On-Air Identity"...always has been as well.

Let's face it..."Universal Studios / SyFy Channel"...has never known what the hell to do with..."Battlestar Galactica"...since the only true..."Battlestar"...series aired back in 1978 starring Lorne Greene and Richard Hatch. They either mismanage the hell out of it, such as via Ronald D. Moore's poorly conceived..."GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)...series in the picture above that had absolutely nothing to do with what we know to be..."Battlestar Galactica"...the 1978 series, or Universal doesn't do anything at all with it such as in it's..."Biennially Scheduled Fake Battlestar Movie Press Releases"...that have never come to fruition after 18 years. All of this time, having no clue how to attract the massive..."Battlestar"...audience that has always been there all along for the past 40 frickin' years.

A brief rundown on some of the chapters of the..."Francis Lawrence / Universal Studios Guidebook to Not Making a Battlestar Galactica Movie"...

Recently snuck out of the..."Universal Studios Black Tower"...in someone's backpack!!

Chapter 1 - Spend another 18 years actually not making a Battlestar Galactica movie

Chapter 2 - Keep admitting to ourselves in private that we never had any idea on what to do with this property, and still don't.

Chapter 3 - Keep those..."Fake Battlestar Galactica Movie Press Releases"...coming every two years.

Chapter 4 - Continue watching helplessly on the sidelines while every other corporation in Hollywood is making money hand over fist with Space Fantasy / Science Fiction while we aren't. So what else is new?

Chapter 5 - If we ever do manage to crap out something with the Battlestar Galactica brand name slapped on it (sometime in this century), make sure it has absolutely nothing to do with what Battlestar Galactica really is (the 1978 series) and instead make the movie a combination of Jupiter Rising and female Ghostbusters

Chapter 6 - While simultaneously screwing up any potential new Battlestar Galactica movie on purpose, let's also continue to not make a Director's Cut of "Saga of a Star World" a possibility. A pointless statement we know because we have long since burned all of the still missing footage to "Saga of a Star World" decades ago. So we could never make a Director's Cut even if we wanted to.

"Universal Studios / SyFy Channel"...(as if it had any choice from its habitual bad management of anything..."Science Fiction / Fantasy"...related) has unwittingly settled in (via the..."SyFy.com"...website) to merely being a..."Master of Ceremonies"...(merely reporting on)....all of the exciting..."Science Fiction / Fantasy Projects"...happening elsewhere in the entertainment industry without being an actual participant themselves.

Ironic since they do own and mismanage what was supposed be a..."Science Fiction Channel"...all of this time (going back 19 years)....
