Even if Sam Esmail Were (Ever) Actually Working On a "Battlestar" TV Series, Why Are The Two Starting Points For Him Always....

 

1. Contemporary society must be reflected with "Artificial Intelligence."

And... 

2. Ronald D. Moore's "Star Trekky Schlock Universe" must be continued. Even though (in reality) it NEVER had anything to do with what "Battlestar" really is. The "1978 Series."

How about simply continuing to explore the supremely interesting universe of the "1978 Battlestar Galactica Series" already set-up and still never fully explored because the "1978 Series" was canceled after only 17 episodes? 

This could include and explore the real origins of the "Cylons" as "Lizard Entities."
