Universal Studios Ongoing Bigotry Against "The 1978 Battlestar Galactica" Series Has Led to a Third Announced Production Rotting in "Development Hell"

Official press release video from October 21st, 2011 (The third announced [never produced] production dating back to 2001.)

If Universal Studios really wanted this movie made, it would be further along right now (after 10 months) than merely "a script going through revisions" as Bryan Singer recently claimed.

1. And Universal Studios also would have made this movie in 2009 as they claimed.
2. And Universal Studios would have made a television pilot for FOX TV in 2001 as they claimed.

Obviously, the reason why Universal Studios keeps assigning this project to Bryan Singer after he repeatedly continues to not even begin making the movie is because it aligns perfectly with Universal Studios 33 year + stance against the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series.

If Universal Studios really wanted this movie made, they would have assigned the project to another director long ago. Instead, Universal Studios continues to be perfectly happy with this movie not getting made in the incompetent hands of  "Movie Director Drop-Out....Bryan Singer."

Putting this movie in the hands of a former movie director (Bryan Singer) who conceivably could have been Blacklisted from the "Director's Chair" in Hollywood due to the failure of "Superman Returns" was not a smart move on the part of Universal Studios.
