Revisiting The Real Motives Behind The Existence Of Ronald D. Moore's "GINO" - (Galactica In Name Only) Series a Decade Ago

Because this blog always could smell a..."Bill of Goods"....half a world away.

From..."Blunt Central"...The..."Investigative Wing"...of this blog...

1. Universal Studios hasn't revived the..."1978 Battlestar Galactica"...series and never will because it doesn't want to revisit litigation with George Lucas over the...."Star Wars"...vs..."Battlestar Galactica"...trial(s) of the late 1970's / early 1980's.

2. Since George Lucas  isn't involved with..."Star Wars"...anymore because..."Disney"...now owns it, Universal Studios would have to deal with..."Disney"...in some capacity if they brought back the..."1978 Battlestar Galactica"...series.

3. Even if this blog were to side with Universal Studios over the two above points (it has no intention of doing so because compromises could be reached in bringing back the..."1978 Battlestar Galactica"....series in its original and only true form as broadcast back in 1978), the mystery remains as to why Universal Studios keeps releasing..."Fake Battlestar Galactica Movie Press Releases"...every two years. The latest one involving Michael DeLuca and Scott Stuber. And has been releasing these fake press releases roughly every two years once 2001.

4. The..."GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)...series was actually designed to...

a. Prolong Universal Studios ownership of the brand name..."Battlestar Galactica"...

b. Prolong ownership of character names and object names..."Battlestar"..."Viper"..."Apollo"..."Starbuck"..."Kobol"...from the..."1978 Battlestar Galactica"...series.

c. It didn't matter if the visual appearances of the above characters and objects were drastically altered not for the better.

5. Simultaneously while all of this was going on, this blog strongly suspects that..."Universal Studios / SyFy Channel"...also wanted Ronald D. Moore to make them a bland..."Rick Berman era / Star Trek"...sequel series on the order of..."Voyager"..."Deep Space Nine"...etc.

a. Thus, you had a bridge set in..."GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)...that looked suspiciously like all of the other bridge sets in all of the..."Rick Berman  era / Star Trek"...sequel series...

"Holy Starfleet Command, Batman!! Was that the newest Starship design from the United Federation of Planets??"

"No Robin!! It was a poorly redesigned... 'Battlestar'...from Ronald D. Moore's..'GINO' - (Galactica in Name Only)....series!!"

Resting quite comfortably on one of the walls in a bridge set that ripped off all of the other previous bridge sets seen in all of the..."Rick Berman era / Star Trek"...sequel series. Including this..."Schematic Plaque"...of a primary ship (on one of the walls of the bridge) seen in all of the previous..."Rick Berman era / Trek"...productions ever so conveniently swiped by Ronald D. Moore for his..."GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)...series.

Was a..."Battlestar"...a..."Constitution Class Starship"....from..."Star Trek"...in Ronald D. Moore's..."GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)....series like this one?

b. You also had the large ensemble cast of..."GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)...that emulated in number the large ensemble casts of all of the..."Rick Berman era / Star Trek"....sequel series.

6. Ever wonder why Ronald D. Moore's..."GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)...series survived one low rated season after another for four straight years? We're talking a nosedive in the ratings from one season to the next...lower & lower.

This blog strongly suspects that it was necessary for Universal Studios to keep..."GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)...on the air despite low ratings because keeping the series active helped to preserve the ownership of these copyrighted names...

a. Battlestar
b. Basestar
c. Cylons
d. Colonial Warriors
e. Viper
f. Cylon Raider
g. Apollo
h. Starbuck
i.  Kobol

It was necessary to keep the series on the air at that time even if it meant losing money in ridiculous and obscene amounts (due to low ratings) to keep all of these copyrighted names preserved and active under the..."Universal Studios Corporate Ownership Umbrella"....

If you were a..."Star Trek"...fan 10 years ago at the same time Ronald D. Moore's..."GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)...series aired, you could pick up the..."Official 'GINO' - (Galactica In Name Only) Companion Book"...which was the same thing as re-reading all of your..."Star Trek: The Next Generation Companion"...books.

They were both identical in contents. Regurgitated info from all of the..."Rick Berman Era / Star Trek"...series.

You know what? Both Ronald D. Moore and the..."SyFy Channel"... never showed any shame whatsoever as to how far they would both go in using..."Star Trek"...as limitless source material in both how..."GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)... was produced / written and how it was merchandised.

With what we know to be..."Battlestar Galactica"...(the 1978 series)....never even entering the picture.

Absolutely disgusting!!

One of the big mysteries of..."GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)....that this blog continues to mull over is why Rick Berman was never credited as the Executive Producer / Creator of..."GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)....and Ronald D. Moore more appropriately listed as..."Caterer"...with a big spoon up his rear.

Read about the books Universal Studios has tried and failed to censor on Amazon.com, as well as other stuff...

And read the books at another location where Universal Studios and its stealth marketers won't be able to post negative, misleading (stealth marketed) reviews of the books via them purchasing candy and Rogaine Foam on Amazon.com (allowing them access to the book review section) and not actually buying and reading the books.
