Within The Finite Sphere of NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel, Glen A. Larson, Ronald D. Moore, and Bryan Singer...This Has Been The Irrevocable Damage Done to The "Battlestar Galactica" Property Since 1979

Any questions?

Why Do We Repeatedly Never See a "Battlestar Galactica" Movie From Universal Studios Regardless of How Much They Announce One "Ad Infinitum" Every Two Years Since 2001?

These are no doubt two of the infinite reasons why....

During the past 20 years especially, Universal Studios has been nothing but the primary provider of...."Junk / Garbage Television"....such as...."The Maury Povich Show"....(with professional actors posing as its guests)....and...."Blind Date"....a dating show about surgically / sexually enhanced young people in Los Angeles you never gave..... two shits about.

...And during the past 20 years especially, Universal Studios has been nothing but the primary provider of...."Major Misstep Theatrical Films Science Fiction Related"....for all of Hollywood. One Science Fiction failure after another....."R.I.P.D."....and...."Cowboys & Aliens:....

Is it any wonder why Universal Studios has never gotten its...."Corporate Head Out Of  its Corporate Rear End"...(since 2001)....to make a...."Battlestar Galactica".....movie?

Yes...when it comes to shoveling the garbage far and wide....no one does it better than NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel.

It's Going On Three Months After Universal Studios Latest (And Fake) "Battlestar Galactica" Press Release. Since Universal Studios Hasn't Lifted a Finger To Begin Making This Movie...

....I Can Only Surmise That The...."April 8th, 2014 Fake Battlestar Galactica Press Release".... Is Now Considered...."Ancient History"....by Universal Studios...

http://www.vulture.com/2014/04/battlestar-galactica-movie-in-development.html

And now Universal Studios does what it always does after a...."Fake Battlestar Galactica Press Release"....

It (Universal Studios) goes into hibernation for the next two years when it will emerge once again (in 2016) with another...."Fake Battlestar Galactica Press Release."

Just as it did in 2012....

August 3rd, 2012 - "Fake Battlestar Galactica Press Release." This press release linked to the bottom one.

And just as it did in 2011...

October 21st, 2011 - "Fake Battlestar Galactica Press Release"

After Being In The Television Industry For Decades, Ronald D. Moore Remains a Bankable Commodity Only With The SyFy Channel

http://www.vulture.com/2013/03/ronald-d-moore-helix-syfy.html

An... "Outdated Relic"... if ever there was one, Ronald D. Moore is of the era of.... "1990s Science Fiction Television..... when individuals more talented than Ronald D. Moore such as Rick Berman (Moore's former boss) and J. Michael Straczynski knew how to chart a course in Science Fiction television with genuine inspired thinking and originality. Moore still belongs in the 1990s when he simply followed marching orders while cranking out scripts, and the responsibility of being a decision maker and executive producer of anything was rightfully out of Ronald D. Moore's hands.

Something terrible happened to Science Fiction television however, when Ronald D. Moore teamed up with the SyFy Channel for the..... "GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)....series. The SyFy Channel and Moore himself got the mistaken impression that he had the talent to be a decision maker and executive producer on his own. SyFy also began suffering from the mistaken impression that Moore was a..."Bankable Commodity"....on his own to try and sell the concept of a television series on.

After the..."Mass Market / Commercial Ratings Failures / Flops".... of....

1. "G vs. E"
2. "GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)
3. "17th Precinct"
4. "Caprica"
5. "Blood & Chrome"
6. "Helix"
7. "Virtuality"

Ronald D. Moore remains a...."Bankable Commodity"....only within the...."Frat House Walls"....of the SyFy Channel. Decades after being in the television business.

Even after six consecutive previous failures in this business, SyFy Channel still felt that the name Ronald D. Moore was a...."Successful Name Brand"....a...."Bankable Commodity"...if you will...to try and sell the...."Helix"....television series to the viewing public even when Moore didn't actually create the...."Helix"....series!!

Yes, "Helix" limped through a..."Ratings Challenged"....first season and is returning for a...."Ratings Challenged"....second season only because the SyFy Channel still thinks that Ronald D. Moore is "just great" (within its "Frat House" walls) despite his astonishing body of...."Ratings Failures"....in everything he touches Science Fiction related.

As for "Outlander" with the "Starz" Network, we'll see how long it survives like everything else Ronald D. Moore does.

Does The SyFy Channel Still Consider One Of Its "Flops" a "Hit" Simply Because a Few People Post Comments About It On "Twitter?"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharknado

Less than $200,000.00 at the Box Office. What do you think? Should the SyFy Channel stay out of the "Theatrical Film Biz?" In addition to (ideally) getting out of the "Cable Television Biz" entirely.

Overnight ratings like that you don't brag about, even when they inch up a little bit from second and third reruns.

Ratings like that also don't justify a sequel.

But, we're talking about the SyFy Channel here, where rational business decisions were always an endangered species.

Now Here Is a Television Production Worth Getting Excited About In No Small Part Due To The Fact That The "SyFy Channel" and Ronald D. Moore Aren't Involved In Any Way

http://www.scifistream.com/2014/04/tnt-orders-librarians-tv-series/

Could you imagine (with horror) what the "SyFy Channel" and Ronald D. Moore would do to this sparkling and original concept?

They would bring a wrecking ball to it in the wink of an eye, cast Edward James Olmos in it (Mr. Sour Puss), and fill it with pointless sex and violence.

Sometimes a Corporation is Just Too Stupid To Realize When it Keeps Shooting Itself In The Foot

"Battlestar Galactica" as an ongoing and thriving franchise could have been up and running decades ago competing with the new incarnations of "Star Trek" on television and eventually the return of "Star Wars" to theaters.

"Battlestar" even could have been spared the "God" awful nonsense that was Ronald D. Moore's "GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)....."Bullsh**" if Universal Studios were simply managed better (a lot better) and not managed by idiots as has always been the case.

It isn't that the...."The 1978 Battlestar Galactica Series" was ever too cheesy or too silly to bring back as a legitimate return to duty....it has always been however, that....."The 1978 Battlestar Galactica Series"....has always been owned by idiots (Universal Studios) who....

1. Never had any great love for Science Fiction in general from day one.

2. Never had any great love for...."The 1978 Battlestar Galactica Series"...despite the series ever present potential (since 1978) to take..... "Star Wars".....and....."Star Trek"....to the boxing ring and seriously pulverize both of them at the same time.

3. Never were gifted or talented with imagination or inspired thinking in the "Universal Studios Black Tower" to even know how to bring back....."The 1978 Battlestar Galactica Series".... in its only true and proper form as presented in 1978.

The only two things Universal Studios has ever known how to do with...."The 1978 Battlestar Galactica Series"....is...

1. Keep the property endlessly tied up (decade after decade) in...."False Flag Litigation"....with Glen A. Larson (a ceaseless holding tactic) in order to avoid having to face bringing it back to the big screen (irresponsibility as a corporation.)

2. Keep issuing...."Fake Battlestar Galactica Movie Press Releases"....every two years as yet another act of corporate irresponsibility.

There have been marbles rolling around inside of that.... "Marble Shaped Corporate Noggin".... of Universal Studios since 1978 and there is no end in sight.
