1. "GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)
2. "Caprica"
3. "Blood & Chrome

....notorious for having the following characteristics....

1. Not being profitable on any noteworthy level for all parties involved.
2. Not being..."Battlestar Galactica"...in any way, shape, or form.
3. Not being fan friendly.
4. Being fan hostile towards the specific target audience it was supposed to attract in the first place.
5. Killing Science Fiction on television for the previous 10 years and evermore after that.
6. Causing the casts and crews of these shows to remain relative unknowns forever.
7. Sentencing Ronald D. Moore to bouncing around minor cable networks forever.
8. Causing David Eick to completely fall off the minor cable network radar.
9. Edward James Olmos ("The Frowning Guy") to doing minor theater forever.
10. Causing SyFy Channel to remain a..."Piss Pot Little Cable Channel"...forever.

I wouldn't want these three shows on my resume. No one would.

Elaborating a bit further on #5, is it safe to say that the cable industry concluded long ago that the..."Ronald D. Moore Way of Doing Science Fiction on Television"....is NOT..."The Profitable Way of Doing Science Fiction on Television"......?

This May Finally Be The Day We Have All Been Looking Forward To. When Universal Studios Suffers "Self Inflicted Embarrassment" So Severely Due To Shoddy "Battlestar 1978 Merchandise", It Will Be Forced To Recall This Little Gem Due Solely To Crappy Looking Box Art

This little baby is due in retail outlets in roughly a week. I think it's a safe bet that Universal Studios never thought far enough into the future as to the negative ramifications of this crappy looking box art (if you want to be generous and call it art) being released to the public and said to themselves...

Universal Studios: "Well, Gee!! What happens when the boys over at http://www.thedigitalbits.com, http://www.hometheaterforum.com, http://www.dvdtalk.com, http://www.variety.com, and http://www.thehollywoodreporter.com are sent advanced copies of this little baby for review and they all get a load of the crappy looking box art which will figure prominently in their reviews of this little baby? Will we suffer unanticipated embarrassment?"

Yes, the DVD's may very well be produced extremely well but that's not what the public and the reviewers will be looking at in this particular case, will they? First impressions are everything and I think every review would go along the lines of....

"Yes, the DVD's are very well produced but the box art really SUCKS ASS."

I think (knowing Universal Studios as well as I do when it comes to "1978 Battlestar Galactica"), that it will bypass this massive problem by simply not making this particular DVD set of theirs available for review from any professional outlet. Universal Studios would much rather make this DVD not available for official review than improve the box art. Because after all, this is the..."1978 Battlestar Galactica" ...series we're talking about here. The one property Universal Studios has hated with a passion since 1978. Yes, Universal Studios will (I suspect) quietly ram this little baby down the throat of the marketplace in roughly a week with little to no fanfare. Just another..."Ho Hum DVD Release"...with no fanfare like..."Season Gazillion"....of the Kardashian clan.

9. The series limps along with a low rated, 13 episode first season.

11. The low rated series is then inexplicably picked up for a 13 episode second season.

13. The premise of the series was never the slightest bit interesting in the first place and was a rip-off of a theatrical film premise or television series premise from 35 years ago.

15. After the SyFy Channel finally admits in the second season that no one was really watching their stupid show in the first place, they cancel it.

16. Everybody...."Yawns"....

17. Ronald D. Moore remains the...."Relative Unknown"....."Post Rick Berman Era / Star Trek Staff Writer / Producer"....he was always destined to be after the series cancellation....Decades after his..."So / So"...career began in television.
