No Doubt Due to Budgetary Constraints, SyFy Channel is Keeping All of the Former "GINO" Cast Members In-House and On Call
http://www.amazon.com/Caprica-Sucks-Channel-Misfires-Ronald/dp/1451556225/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1307806960&sr=1-1
SyFy Channel always having been the "rinky-dink" operation it was destined to be as embarrassingly managed by NBC-Universal, never did have alot of options when rummaging through the acting pool of potential actors to star in their in-house produced horror movies or television series. If the question ever pops into your head..."Whatever happened to all of the former 'GINO' cast members?"...Have no fear, because they never left the SyFy Channel. Whether the lot of them are physically working or not, they remain at the SyFy Channel on an "on call" basis.
Think of a bunch of firefighters hanging out at the firestation during the day or night. Though they're not physically working (putting out fires)...they're ready to jump to their feet once the "alarm" goes off. It's the same thing with all of the former "GINO" cast member - (Michael Hogan, Tricia Helfer, Katee Sackhoff, Jamie Bamber etc.)....They're all within re-hiring reach of the SyFy Channel if that alarm goes off (the SyFy Channel needs bodies for their new low budget movie or television series) and they are needed to instantaneously respond. And all of the former cast members are always unemployed until the next SyFy Channel production comes up.
The former "GINO" cast members are great, aren't they? They're affordable for the SyFy Channel, they're always available, and they spare the SyFy Channel the embarrassment of wanting "A-List Quality Actors" for their productions yet can't afford them.
Take the SyFy Channel's latest schlock horror movie to be broadcast tonight...."Ice Road Terror." A movie about truckers being terrorized by a dinosaur. The SyFy Channel needed a body....any body...to star in this thing. Sure enough, SyFy Channel went to its pool of ever available...former "GINO" cast members...and plucked Michael Hogan to star in this thing. The rest of the former "GINO" cast members will be lounging in the firehouse waiting for Michael Hogan to return.

Is The SyFy Channel's Only Audience...Elitist, Wealthy Snobs?
http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Studios-1978-Battlestar-Galactica/dp/1434895408/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1307669572&sr=1-2-catcorr
Imagine if you will...a cable network that only programs for its elitist...wealthy friends. And the elitist community overall. You would have a cable network with an extremely miniscule viewership (which is what the NBC-Universal Sci-Fi Channel [SyFy] has suffered from for ages.)
I'm going to turn the tables on these elitist wealthy snobs who solely make up the audience of the SyFy Channel...and I'm going to look down on them, and the executive idiots at the SyFy Channel who only program for them.
It finally dawned on me today that the ailments of zero imagination and lacking inspired thinking only afflict the rich....the elite....the snobs. Imagination and inspired thinking requires thinking. Elite snobs don't need to think for themselves because their money thinks for them.
Yes...today I am breaking open a reality that society has completely kept hidden.
Blue collar people possess all of the imagination and inspired thinking in our society...whereas the elitist snobs don't.
Who is the SyFy Channel really talking about when they repeatedly reiterate the desire to remove "Geeks" from their viewership? They're talking about Blue Collar People.
It's a form of Republican Elitism....isn't it? Republicans only do favors for their "elitist wealthy friends." The SyFy Channel is no different. The SyFy Channel is the FOX News Network of commercial broadcast cable. Pandering only to the whims of its miniscule elitist viewership.
And all of you wondered why all of the programming on the SyFy Channel has no imagination and no inspired thinking whatsoever? It's a network by wealthy snobs....for wealthy snobs. Carrying the barren landscape of zero imagination and zero inspired thinking along with it.
Wealthy people don't like imagination and inspired thinking....because it requires them to "think." And as I touched upon earlier...wealthy people delegate all of the thinking in their lives....to their money.
Thus....on the SyFy Channel....we have had Ronald D. Moore's crappy ass versions of "Battlestar Galactica" where characters are walking around in three piece business suits, despite the fact that all of Ronald D. Moore's series were supposed to be taking place thousands of light years from Earth.
That was a wardrobe decision requiring no imagination and zero inspired thinking.
The SyFy Channel is programming for brain dead elitists. And the SyFy Channel is being run by brain dead elitists.
You hurry up now...SyFy Channel!! You hurry up and get all of the BLUE COLLAR workers ("GEEKS") out of your viewership!! It just might screw up your agenda of pandering to your brain dead ELITIST FRIENDS!!....Your miniscule demographic!!

Why Does The SyFy Channel Always Expect a Standing Ovation Everytime They Admit to "Dissing" Science Fiction?
http://www.amazon.com/Caprica-Sucks-Channel-Misfires-Ronald/dp/1451556225/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1307595077&sr=1-1
Have you ever noticed this regardless of who is giving the interview on behalf of the SyFy Channel...whether it be Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, or Mark Stern? They openly boast of wanting to get rid of genuine science fiction television programming on the SyFy Channel...profile those who love such programming with the stereotypical corporate moniker of "Geek".....and then they honestly expect a standing ovation from the television viewing public for erroneously thinking in such a manner at the corporate level.
Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern have honestly expected the general public to cheer them for trashing the former (and once great) Sci-Fi Channel..and mutating it into the presently ambiguous (and embarrassing to say the least....SyFy Channel.) Hammer, Howe, and Stern have honestly expected the general public to hoist them up on their shoulders and shower them with confetti at a tribute ceremony ...because of what they have done to the former Sci-Fi Channel. Because they have been adhering to some selfish, corporate agenda....they want the general public's unconditional love because of it.
This is how an interview usually goes with one of these three clowns. The interview is obviously stealth marketed created and is obviously (in actuality) a commercial for the SyFy Channel. One of the questions eventually gets around to asking one of these three clowns....."Why have you moved away from science fiction programming on the SyFy Channel?" One of the three always answers....
"Well....we feel its important to move away from attracting "Geeks" to our channel and the only way to do that is to nuke all science fiction programming."
Their unspoken motivation for doing so always seems to be (and you can always intuitively pick up on it from reading these interviews) is that they feel they are doing mankind a tremendous public service by eliminating what they like to call "Geeks" from their viewership. And they want the general public to congratulate them for it.
Thank God the SyFy Channel doesn't apparently have such problems with the Puerto Ricans in their viewing audience, or the Blacks, or the Caucasians, or the Italians....in their viewing audience. Because if they did...it would be called....."Profiling" of some sort.
Isn't labeling someone a "Geek" (at the corporate, business level) simply because they like space based, science fiction television programming....and then doing whatever you can (at the corporate, business level) to remove these people from your viewership....Isn't this a form of racial profiling...without the "race" involved? But....it's a form of profiling nonetheless...isn't it?....At the corporate, business level. Why doesn't Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern just join ICE / Immigration Customs Enforcement? They would be naturals.
If I come across a very nice person who is of foreign origin...and I unjustifiably and erroneously label him or her as a "Wetback" simply because they like to drive around in a convertible....Isn't that the same sort of profiling that the SyFy Channel has been doing with their overused moniker of...."Geek?"
And the SyFy Channel wants to be congratulated for this....for doing away with a certain type of television programming that attracts a large segment of the population? And no...these people are not "Geeks"...These are people who just happen to like space based science fiction. They're science fiction fans...nothing more, nothing less.
And no....those of foreign origin are not "Wetbacks"....they are very nice people just like everybody else.
Perhaps I should have used discrimination instead of profiling?
Universal Studios vs. The 1978 Battlestar Galactica Series
http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Studios-1978-Battlestar-Galactica/dp/1434895408/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1307547850&sr=1-2
Universal Studios has been unable to hide from the truth of this book since it was first published three years ago. Yes, three years ago. Which was the 30th Anniversary of this idiotic studio continuing to not do anything constructive with the "Battlestar Galactica" copyright.
Many of the truths published in this book continue to come to pass year after year after year...Such as....
1. Supposed theatrical projects based upon the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series continue to get announced by Universal Studios every three or four (or so) years...and continue to get mysteriously derailed. The latest being the supposed "Glen Larson / Bryan Singer" Galactica project announced 28 months ago. Of course, it hasn't helped matters any either that Glen A. Larson and Bryan Singer both simultaneously lack a sound work ethic.
2. This indicates that as of 2011...there continues to be a "Shadow Mechanism" firmly in place at Universal Studios preventing any revival of the "1978 Galactica Series" from occurring. The latest victim no doubt being the supposed "Glen Larson / Bryan Singer" Galactica project announced 28 months ago. Of course, it hasn't helped matters any either that Glen A. Larson and Bryan Singer both simultaneously lack a sound work ethic.
3. Universal Studios continues to not want to make any money with the "Battlestar Galactica" copyright.
4. They would much rather continue to lose money on the property (in record amounts) by continuing to waste their time (and money) with Ronald D. Moore.
5. Sci-Fi (SyFy) Channel (was and is now) continues to be the indoctrinated subsidiary (arriving late in the game)....indoctrinated by Universal Studios....into deliberately mismanaging the "Galactica" property in any way they can.
The credible case can continue to be made that Universal Studios has never had any business owning the "Battlestar Galactica" copyright. Their lack of constructive action on any front regarding this property for over 30 years speaks for itself.
It can also be unanimously stated that there has always existed a fundamental incompatibility between Universal Studios and the "Battlestar Galactica" property. "Galactica" demands imagination and inspired thinking from those who own it. Universal Studios has always lacked both. (Just look at "GINO", "Caprica", and the upcoming "Blood & Chrome.") "Battlestar Galactica" demands wise and constructive ownership. Universal Studios has always lacked both. "Battlestar Galactica" demands the successful execution of its premise (from 1978) and its canon story components. Universal Studios is intellectually incapable of both.
It's no longer a mere "30 Years of Mismanagement." It's now "33 Years of Mismanagement."

The Incompetence of Glen A. Larson and Bryan Singer is Proven With The Absence of a Galactica Film This Summer
http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Studios-1978-Battlestar-Galactica/dp/1434895408/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1307456077&sr=1-2
I wouldn't hire (or trust) Glen A. Larson and Bryan Singer to develop my rolls of film at a "Foto-Mat"....if such conveniences even exist anymore.
Glen A. Larson and Bryan Singer have proven themselves to be the dunderheads and incompetent buffoons of the film industry...much the same way Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann have created similar reputations for themselves within the ever disintegrating GOP.
Yes, Glen A. Larson and Bryan Singer chose the film profession as a career, but I challenge anyone to try and figure out how the hell they got there. They sure as hell didn't get there from any pre-existing work ethic, that's for damn sure. Bryan Singer pretty much fucks up everything he touches (Superman Returns) and Glen A. Larson suffers from the rare ailment of not being able to get any sort of film project off the ground, even if the film is nothing more than an instructional blurb always running at the beginning of a movie at your local cineplex, telling you how to dispose of your soft drinks and boxes of "Milk Duds."
Even if one were to give Glen A. Larson and Bryan Singer the benefit of the doubt, and state on their behalf that the Galactica movie is merely a year late, and won't be coming out until summer 2012....we would still be seeing professional photos of cast members in full wardrobe by now, in the middle of principal photography. Just as last summer, when we saw photos of Chris Evans as Captain America, and Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern......gearing up for a summer 2011 release of their films.
Film industry economists can look at it from as many different angles as they so choose, but the fact remains, that Universal Studios does not want to make any money off of the "Battlestar Galactica" copyright. Whether it be them continuing to not make a theatrical film of the potential franchise, or them flushing the copyright down the toilet where the SyFy Channel fished it out (still covered in wet crap) and handed it over to the stellar incompetence of Ronald D. Moore and David Eick.

Is It Possible That The SyFy Channel is Run By People With Psychological Problems?
http://www.amazon.com/Caprica-Sucks-Channel-Misfires-Ronald/dp/1451556225/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1307374925&sr=1-1
We've all seen the movie "Scrooged", right? It isn't just a modern retelling of Ebeneezer Scrooge, it's also the story of a television executive (Frank Cross) with a screw loose putting outrageous television shows on the air. And the television shows are outrageous because Frank Cross has psychological problems. Such television shows as "The Night The Reindeer Died" - starring Lee Majors....."Bob Goulet's Old Fashioned Cajun Christmas"......"Father Loves Beaver"....and Frank's "Scrooge" promo showcasing freeway killings, acid rain, heroin addiction and terrorism.....are the sorts of insane television shows that Frank Cross conceived and put on the air.
You wouldn't have to venture very far away from the IBC Network as managed by Frank Cross to confront the insanity of the SyFy Channel as managed by Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern. Frank Cross would feel right at home at the SyFy Channel (working side by side with Hammer, Howe, and Stern) putting such crap on the air as "Marcel's Quantum Kitchen"...."WWF Wrestling"...."Fact or Faked"...and a ghost hunting show starring three roto-rooter / plumbers called "Ghost Hunters."
That's right...
The SyFy Channel is the IBC Network of the 21st Century.
If you ran the programming ideas of Frank Cross passed Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern...their reactions would be ones of serious consideration. Slaughtering reindeer with rapid machine gun fire during a Christmas Eve visit to the North Pole would be right up the SyFy Channel's alley. Because its the same type of programming garbage perfectly suited for the SyFy Channel's "WWF Wrestling" demographic. "Bob Goulet's Old Fashioned Cajun Christmas" would tie right in with the SyFy Channel's weekly monster movie demographic (Bob Goulet getting eaten by a lurking crocodile.) "Father Loves Beaver" would tie right in with some of the trashy movies the SyFy Channel mines from the USA Network film vaults.
I have a feeling that if the character of Frank Cross were a real person, he would score about the same on a Rorschach Test as Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern would.

"Blood & Chrome" Will Underwhelm...Disappoint...And Annoy
http://www.amazon.com/Blood-Chrome-Interpretation-Battlestar-Galactica/dp/1456493604/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1307211123&sr=1-1
Unless there is a radical change in how the SyFy Channel packages and puts a television series on the air, "Blood & Chrome" will be the usual annoying and barely watchable claptrap we have come to expect from Bonnie Hammer and company. The SyFy Channel certainly isn't going to have a sudden spurt of inspiration and creativity just in time for "Blood & Chrome" to reap any sorts of benefits from it. The same channel responsible for "Marcel's Quantum Kitchen", "Fact or Faked?", and "WWF Wrestling" will basically litter "Blood & Chrome" with all of the usual annoyances we have come to expect from Bonnie Hammer and company. Essentially wall to wall boredom and one dimensional frowning characters.
We can conclude what "Blood & Chrome" will be like based on what "GINO" and "Caprica" were like. An action / adventure soap opera with characters suffering from undiagnosed psychological problems. Why the SyFy Channel wants to return to the well for a third time with this losing formula can be answered in the same sentence asking why they always return to losing and unprofitable formulas for all of their television series. The channel is run by idiots, and the channel isn't presently being overseen by performance evaluators from the parent corporation.
"Blood & Chrome" would generate more enthusiasm if an entirely different management team were overseeing its development. As we all know from experience....Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern suck ass in overseeing projects like this....where their collective, endless barrage of contradictions is an irrational tsunami to behold. Such as...
1. They hate space based science fiction yet they're doing "Blood & Chrome" anyway.
2. They hate the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series yet they keep returning to it in order to do these crappy copies of the 1978 series.
3. They hate all of the science fiction fans in the television viewing audience yet they keep trying to attract them with crap like "Blood & Chrome." If they do attract them (which isn't likely)....they'll immediately do a 180 degree turn and try to repel them.
You can't serve two masters at the same time. Try telling that to Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern.
"Blood & Chrome" is not going to delightfully surprise anyone, because Bonnie Hammer, David Howe, and Mark Stern are infamously known all too well. Everyone is unfortunately all too familiar with how they tackle both space based science fiction and the "Battlestar Galactica" property. The end result being a boring and thoroughly offensive viewing experience for everyone.
