Universal Studios (And its Notorious Entourage) Are Always At Ground Zero in Not Grasping Pop Culture Sensibilities

Universal Studios (and the two notorious members of its routine entourage pictured above) lack basic pop culture sensibilities when it comes to trying to find a way to compete with the likes of "Star Wars" and "Star Trek."

Bringing "Battlestar Galactica" into the 21st Century should have and could have been a no-brainer for the three morons pictured above.

A long dormant, sleeping giant of a property, the ("1978 Battlestar Galactica" series) with enormous potential and given an unfair shake during its original broadcast by ABC-TV via its enormous potential to compete with "Star Wars" and "Star Trek", is brought into the 21st Century with its enormous potential finally realized...only to have that potential (and the opportunity) squandered by a studio infested by corporate drones with zero imagination, a former "Star Trek" staff writer who ultimately turned out to be a big fizzle creatively when not under Rick Berman's nurturing wing, and a former theatrical director who killed the "Superman" character in a terrible movie who is having a hard time right now just trying to pick up the jigsaw puzzle pieces of his career after that fact.

"Battlestar Galactica" has not and is not competing with the "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" franchises right now not because it doesn't have the enormous potential to do so on the same epic scale, but because the property keeps ending up in the wrong hands (Ronald D. Moore, Bryan Singer) who either turn the property into a steaming pile of dog shit ("GINO", "Caprica", "Blood & Chrome"), or do absolutely nothing with the property at all one way or the other since 2001.

Universal Studios (never having any great love for the "Galactica" property in the first place) is always contented to turn the property over to Hollywood's dumbest, in order to turn what could be a mass market, pop culture phenomenon...into an unwatchable, depressing mess of dysfunctionality for the "Avante Garde, Lunatic Fringe" that Universal Studios always loves to pander to with the "Battlestar Galactica" property, rather than making money in a logical and progressive, mass market sort of way with "Battlestar Galactica." The end product of course, always being "Battlestar Galactica" in name only.

This "Avante Garde Lunatic Fringe" that Universal Studios loves so much, never measuring as so much as a "blip" on anyone's demographic radar in any area of Hollywood marketing known to mankind.

Between the combined, zero imagination and uninspired thinking of Universal Studios, Ronald D. Moore, and Bryan Singer..."Battlestar Galactica" remains the sleeping giant it always has been, fully capable of competing with "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" if it is ever owned and utlized by the right people in the future.

Universal Studios never has anything to compete with "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" because they're always too busy "snickering" at "Battlestar Galactica" or anything Science Fiction related. The results are clear for all to see. Universal Studios does not have a "Tent Pole Science Fiction Franchise" of any sort to compete in the mass market, pop culture arena.

This "snickering" by Universal Studios in my estimation, is really a camouflage activity on their part to hide the fact that their studio in particular in Hollywood, is run by people with zero imagination, zero inspired thinking, and an overall deficiency and inability in their corporate psyche to have its finger on the pulse of pop culture sensibilities.
