The Best Possible Filmmaking Circumstances Couldn't Keep Bryan Singer And Glen A. Larson Together
The best of filmmaking circumstances....unprecedented cooperation from all parties involved...the best of weather....and the power of gigantic electro-magnetic magnets....couldn't keep Bryan Singer and Glen A. Larson together to make a "1978 Battlestar Galactica" theatrical film. Bryan Singer and Glen A. Larson have earned the rare distinction (shame) of having a filmmaking partnership between the two of them announced as far back as 2001 (and after) in endless press releases...yet not delivering one project with both their names on it in a decade (and counting.) No power in this universe could keep these two idiots together on a project until the project's completion. Nothing...and I mean nothing...would get these two motivated to make and complete a "1978 Battlestar Galactica" theatrical film (not even J.J. Abrams "Star Trek 2" coming out next summer)...because they are of the same mindset as Universal Studios..."If Battlestar Galactica is on the backburner...let's keep pushing it further and further back on the backburner in favor of other projects."
J.J. Abrams "Star Trek 2" is indeed coming out next summer, and (as usual, as always)...the old guard of old farts at Universal Studios continue to not see the commercial potential of a "1978 Battlestar Galactica" theatrical film going up against "Star Trek 2" in a good old fashioned gladiator fight. Universal Studios continues to blow money on untried...iffy projects like "Cowboys and Aliens" instead of a sure thing like "1978 Battlestar Galactica", Glen A. Larson continues to not do what he was supposed to have been doing for the past 30 years (bringing back "1978 Battlestar Galactica") and as for Bryan Singer...well...after the disastrous"Superman Returns"...the less said about him the better.
The best barometer in existence today monitoring this..."cough".... supposed filmmaking partnership between Glen A. Larson and Bryan Singer...is http://www.imdb.com/. It is here that the supposed "1978 Galactica" theatrical film (supposedly being produced by Glen A. Larson and Bryan Singer) was downgraded from..."due out in 2011"....to......"?????".....
Maybe Glen A. Larson and Bryan Singer (together) could give the next commencement speech at any filmmaking school of their choosing?
But they haven't made any movies together or done any sort of work together!! EXACTLY!!
Bring on the graduate hecklers!!
