Dangle a carrot in front of Bryan Singer such as the opportunity to direct "X-Men 4", and you will see Bryan Singer abandon his latest claim to direct a "Battlestar Galactica" movie in the wink of an eye. Yes, Bryan Singer has supposedly dived right in (head first) into his latest attempt at directing a "Battlestar Galactica" movie immediately after the "Excalibur" movie died (and after Singer bailed out on two previous opportunities to direct a "Battlestar" movie in 2001 and 2009.) History has unfortunately proven that when the opportunity to direct an "X-Men" movie is dangled in front of Bryan Singer while he is prepping a "Battlestar Galactica" movie, he will abandon "Battlestar" every single time.
It's coming, isn't it? Just like in 2001, an "X-Men" movie is in development at the same time as a "Battlestar" movie supposedly is. And just like in 2001, Bryan Singer is at the same emotional maturity level he always has been in, which isn't saying much for him. So, the same identical circumstances are moving forward to repeat themselves in 2011 just as they did in 2001. If a "Battlestar" movie is actually moving forward and Bryan Singer is in the middle of prepping it when the request comes his way to direct "X-Men 4", it's going to be "bye, bye Battlestar" once again for Bryan Singer.
