Evaluating The..."Cough"...."Dark & Gritty Business"....of The SyFy Channel and Ronald D. Moore a Decade Later

Separated at birth?...Frowning in front of and behind the camera (The "Dark & Gritty Mentality") led to "GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only) being the most commercially unsuccessful, the most mass market unattractive, and the most downright embarrassing excuse for an alleged Science Fiction television series and pathetic attempt at "Battlestar Galactica" ever documented. In all seriousness, how would you attract any sort of a noteworthy audience with "Narcissistic Nonsense" such as this?

Ronald D. Moore and SyFy Channel then tried this losing formula again with "Caprica"....and then lost again. And then they made one final attempt with this losing formula with "Blood & Chrome"....and lost again.

Summing up exactly what it was that killed the "Dark & Gritty Business" of the SyFy Channel and Ronald D. Moore....

1. You can't succeed with something called "Battlestar Galactica" if you really hate what "Battlestar Galactica" really is....the 1978 series. When you hate your source material, you've already shot yourself in the foot even before the cameras start rolling. You might as well just go home and not proceed any further.

2. No one in the entire history of the television industry was stupid enough to try and make two sequel series ("Caprica", "Blood & Chrome") based upon a mass market failed parent series, "GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only")....until of course, SyFy Channel and Ronald D. Moore came along.

3. When a television series is all about the self promotion of "Narcissistic Egos" run amok (the two photos above)...and nothing about incorporating entertainment value into the television series you are supposed to be working on...Your productions...."GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)..."Caprica"....and "Blood & Chrome" are going to fail. Sure enough...they did.

4. A decade later after this failed "Dark & Gritty Experiment"...the SyFy Channel and Ronald D. Moore are no further along professionally or in terms of success than they were a decade ago. The two of them are still doing the same...boring...uninspired...repetitive....mass market unattractive nonsense they were doing 10 years ago.

Isn't it time for the "Corporate Bosses" of these two characters to take a thoroughly objective look at what they have been doing on company time for the past 10 years?

One conclusion I can immediately come to is that...."Dark & Gritty" has never worked for anything except on rare occasions...such as the "Batman" movies.

Where the "Dark & Gritty" works of the SyFy Channel and Ronald D. Moore can always be found. Long forgotten memories appealing to the "Trailer Park Trash" crowd and their family budgets.

Read the books Universal Studios has tried and failed to censor on Amazon.com...

http://languatron.freeforums.org/viewforum.php?f=60

And read these books at another location where Universal Studios executives and its stealth marketers won't be able to post negative, misleading (stealth marketed) reviews of the books via them purchasing candy and Rogaine Foam on Amazon.com (allowing them access to the Amazon book review section) and not actually buying and reading the books. I'll leave the other 150 global locations under wraps for now.
