Universal Studios First "Battlestar Galactica" Related Activity For 2015 Is Not Encouraging

Yes, Universal Studios is bringing the...."1978 Battlestar Galactica Series" Blu-Ray and early indications are the results will not be encouraging.

1. Please say this crappy package art with the...sandpaper rubbed tentative and not final.

2. This release will consist of....12 year old extras....from the...."Battlestar Galactica - Complete Epic Series"....DVD release from October 2003. Which means among others, there will be a 12 year old interview with Glen A. Larson when he was still alive. How about producing a new batch of fresh extras for this Blu-Ray release including a...."Tribute Documentary" the late Glen A. Larson? How about a fresh new batch of deleted scenes from...."Saga of a Star World"....never seen before? Such as, Starbuck storming the bridge (immediately after he crash lands his Viper aboard the Galactica) demanding to know why Colonel Tigh pulled the Galactica out of battle?

3. There will be widescreen versions of these episodes which means a loss of picture information at the top and bottom of the screen. Universal Studios thinks it is doing a favor to consumers here by reformatting the image to fit present day widescreen home entertainment systems. No. If Universal Studios figured out a way to reformat the episodes without a loss of picture at the top and bottom of your widescreen tv screen...that would be doing consumers a favor.

4. I find it truly astonishing that after 35-37 years...Universal Studios made it a priority to preserve the negatives to...."Galactica: 1980"....yet somehow allowed all of the still missing footage to...."Saga of a Star World" be unaccounted for. . Yes, there were some very good episodes of... "Galactica: 1980".....The first episode, the.... "Return of Starbuck"....and "The Night The Cylons Landed".... (even with Wolfman Jack and the corny humor.) But these episodes were given a preservation priority over the still unseen....uncut version....of..."Saga of a Star World"...the episode that started it all??

Read the books Universal Studios has tried and failed to censor on

And read these books at another location where Universal Studios executives and its stealth marketers won't be able to post negative, misleading (stealth marketed) reviews of the books via them purchasing candy and Rogaine Foam on (allowing them access to the Amazon book review section) and not actually buying and reading the books. I'll leave the other 150 global locations under wraps for now.
