Why Do People Who Have Always Sucked At Doing Science Fiction Continue To Try And Attempt Science Fiction?

Ronald D. Moore - His biggest success was being associated with the..."Star Trek"....franchise. A franchise created by Gene Roddenberry and guided further along to great success by Rick Berman. He (Moore) produced and wrote various episodes and films of...."Star Trek"....because the committee already put in place by Gene Roddenberry and Rick Berman to make all things...."Star Trek".... was so thoroughly thought out that even if Ronald D. Moore wasn't very good at what he did the other committee members would veto and course correct what wasn't quite right with his... "ahem"... suggestions for..."Star Trek." The Rick Berman era of.... "Star Trek"....was made by committee. So if someone such as Ronald D. Moore wasn't very good as a producer / writer....the other members of the committee course corrected the problems. So in his first gig, Ronald D. Moore lucked out.

"GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only) - Ronald D. Moore wasn't so lucky with this gig. "GINO"...was a gig so pumped up on the steroids of  false advertising, misleading and endless stealth marketing, and false promises....that Ronald D. Moore ultimately failed to deliver..."Battlestar Galactica"..Instead, Moore's first solo producing and writing gig without the wisdom of a committee to course correct every laughable (stupid) decision he made was marred by lazy producing and writing. Borrowing (swiping) chunks of story material from...."Blade Runner"...and..."Star Trek: Voyager"....to pastiche together a $1.98 universe that looked like beautiful downtown Vancouver on a sunny day with business suits being the primary component of wardrobe. "GINO" was anything and everything...but...."Battlestar Galactica".... This production was so lazy, it didn't even try to hide the fact that it had no imagination and inspired thinking in art direction / production design and its obvious location filming in Vancouver. This is the sort of production that never would have made it on the air if anyone working at Universal Studios / Sci-Fi Channel at the time were sane.

"Virtuality /  17th Precinct" - The first indications that the further Ronald D. Moore ventures away from his parents basement (the SyFy Channel)... when trying to do Science Fiction projects of his own creation, the more likely it is he can't get a job beyond the pilot episode proposal stage.

"Outlander" - Surprise, Surprise!! (Not) Ronald D. Moore has found semi-moderate employment with the source material of someone else, just as it was with..."Star Trek." Of course, "Outlander" really isn't Science Fiction, it's a Soap Opera.

Why doesn't Ronald D. Moore just give it up (his bad attempts at Science Fiction) and get a staff writers job on..."Days of Our Lives?" Much more realistic and scaled down employment for someone of his...limited imagination?

Bryan Singer Picture

Bryan Singer - Good lord!! The only thing this guy knows how to make is..."X-Men"....movies and even then, they aren't that terribly interesting or very good. His intended and announced (fake press releases) of wanting to make an endless parade of..."Science Fiction"....based productions has resulted in an endless parade of aborted Science Fiction projects going back a decade and a half.

Read the books Universal Studios has tried and failed to censor on Amazon.com...

http://languatron.freeforums.org/viewforum.php?f=60

And read these books at another location where Universal Studios executives and its stealth marketers won't be able to post negative, misleading (stealth marketed) reviews of the books via them purchasing candy and Rogaine Foam on Amazon.com (allowing them access to the Amazon book review section) and not actually buying and reading the books. I'll leave the other 150 global locations under wraps for now.
