Sealed Tighter Than a Drum

This is how much the SyFy Channel has cut itself off from the outside world where all of the real talent, resources, and funding are at fully capable of restoring the SyFy Channel to what it once was. A round the clock Science Fiction channel 365 days a year.

Instead, this curious, fragmented, and incoherent remaining mess of a cable channel has sealed itself inside of a Tupperware container (cut off from the real world) where limited resources, financing, denied access to quality personnel, and producing junk like "Sharknado" and wrestling are the rules of the day. The SyFy Channel also suffers from an extremely limiting "Talent Pool" of personnel where the likes of supremely untalented Ronald D. Moore and Ozzie Osbourne's son are the only candidates available for repeated recruitment for more assembly line "JUNK TV."

If this corporation (NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel) would just unclench its ass cheeks a little bit (get more of an operating budget for the SyFy Channel), it just might start attracting more talent available for recruitment who have never given the SyFy Channel the time of day before...such as Brannon Braga, J. Michael Straczynski, Joss Whedon, Jon Favreau, and J.J. Abrams.

But...as we all know the SyFy Channel would never do any of this because they will always be perfectly contented hiring the likes of Danny Bonaduce, Barry Williams, Robby Rist and Florence Henderson for their continued assembly line trash projects.

Corporate America = SyFy Channel = Junk

http://www.syfy.com

Corporate America has wrecked everything it has ever touched. Turning the once creative music industry once dominated by the creative songwriting supremacy of such groups as the "Beatles" into the "Board Room guided, imagination deficient, Techno-Saturated bottom line Crap-Trap of Justin Bieber."

Corporate America's most disgusting claim to shame has been turning the once great Sci-Fi Channel of the 1990s (with actual Science Fiction programming around the clock) into a fragmented, incoherent, John Doe-esque Cable Network without any sort of discernible, on-air identity. I point to "Exhibit A" above. Heavily choreographed and scripted "Junk TV" (Wrestling) on the SyFy Channel. After watching wrestling on the SyFy Channel...how about a little "Haunted Highway" after that? After "Haunted Highway"....how about a "Sharknado" rerun?

I have seen more than enough of this strange, Board Room guided cable channel (SyFy) conceived in the rear end of Corporate America.

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" Trailer Reviews??

Trailer reviews for "X-Men: Days of Future Past" are popping up everywhere. Trailer reviews?? And these trailer reviews are also giving blow by blow breakdowns of what you are seeing in the trailers!! How many more blatant ways can Bryan Singer say...."Please go and see my movie in large numbers next year in order to rescue my career from the doldrums caused by "Jack The Giant Slayer"...."Superman Returns"....and "Valkyrie?" (If in fact, Bryan Singer really did direct this thing.) This isn't about marketing a movie. This is all about trying to rescue someone's career. This movie is actually a tool for trying to rescue someone's career. This is what it was made for. That's why the aggressive marketing of this movie has reached the appalling level of "blow by blow trailer reviews." If this movie doesn't fly with audiences next year, I suspect Bryan Singer will be doing a lot of work for the SyFy Channel.

The only blatant thing left that Bryan Singer can do is shuttle all over the country next year at the time of its release and lead people by the hands into the movie theaters to watch this movie.

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" has reached a level of narcissistic promotion that is downright CREEPY. The key of course, will be whether or not audiences buy into it next year.

And let's continue to give away all of the primary plot and secondary plot points of this movie a year before its release!! Yes, audiences will still want to see the movie after that!! Brilliant promotion!!

Yes, I took a moment away from Thanksgiving festivities to write this.

Some Hardly Surprising Predictions For NBC-Universal, Ronald D. Moore, and Bryan Singer in 2014

1. The "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series will never get released on Blu-Ray because Universal Studios allowed the original negatives of every episode to deteriorate too much (on purpose) due to inadequate air tight storage and intentional exposure to harmful temperatures. Of course, Universal Studios will never say anything, you will just never see the Blu-Ray release. "Mum's the word while quietly destroying art" has always been Universal Studios motto. Television heritage meaning nothing to Universal Studios.

2. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" will not be the smash hit 20th Century Fox is hoping for. Instead, it will only do marginally well like every other "X-Men" movie has ever done. It will also not cause Bryan Singer's career to rejuvenate and propel into the stratosphere if in fact Singer really did direct it. After its release, Singer will still be bouncing around from releasing his ever reliable fake press releases, to doing occasional television work, to being a guest judge on the endless parade of SyFy Channel's stupid programming, to directing "Magnum Gold" ice cream commercials.

3. "Helix" will not be the smash hit the SyFy Channel is hoping for. Ratings for the pilot will be strong (by the SyFy Channel's laughable standards) with steady declines week after week. SyFy Channel will stick with "Helix" however, just as they always instinctively cling to every flop they have on their hands out of self-denial. "Helix" will be renewed for a second season, because everyone else's shit...is always the SyFy Channel's gold.

4. Both Ronald D. Moore and Bryan Singer will not experience a career rejuvenation of any sort in 2014 or any year beyond that because both of them will remain supremely untalented.

5. The SyFy Channel will change its name once again in 2014 to "Seigh Feigh." Motto: "We're really about nothing now!! Just ask Jerry Seinfeld!!"

6. Universal Studios will have another Science Fiction based box office flop in 2014 of the same magnitude as "R.I.P.D." Even worse!!

7. After "X-Men: Days of Future Past" is released and Bryan Singer realizes the world hasn't fallen in love with him because of it (if he really did direct it), his next fake press release after that will be a reboot of the 1979 NBC-TV mini-series "The Martian Chronicles" originally starring Rock Hudson.

8. Jesse Ventura will discover that "Bad Hat Harry Productions" is not an actual production company, but rather just a cartoon logo at the beginning of every Bryan Singer movie.

9. Jesse Ventura will also discover (what everyone already knows) that Ronald D. Moore has never had a successful solo career as a producer / scriptwriter since leaving "Star Trek: The Next Generation" as an underwhelming staff writer.

10. Finally, Universal Studios and Bryan Singer will resume their fake "Battlestar Galactica" press releases at some point in 2014.

Where is The Junk in Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Always Coming From? The Paper Trail Always Leads Right Back to These Three

Just sell the damn SyFy Channel already!! We don't want or need anymore of your "Sharknado" B.S., your crappy and low budget monster movies, your endless...fruitless endeavors with Ronald D. Moore, your crappy and disgusting massacres of the entire Science Fiction genre and the "Battlestar Galactica" property. Just sell the damn SyFy Channel already!!

Once a former Rick Berman employee...always a former Rick Berman employee. Ronald D. Moore's solo career as a producer / scriptwriter still hasn't begun yet after a decade of trying and failing because Ronald D. Moore never had the talent to make it happen. Just give it up and go back home. Not before apologizing to John Carpenter of course.

Enough already!! The umpteenth, boring sequel to "X-Men"..."Superman Returns"..."Jack The Giant Slayer"...."Valkyrie"...."Mockingbird Lane"...Your list of 30 aborted productions I frequently relist right here on my blog...your umpteenth, fake press release announcing a "Battlestar Galactica" movie you will never make in this lifetime. Dude, just go home and never come back. You aren't making it in this business and never will. You have earned your place however, right alongside Ronald D. Moore as one of the most inconsequential figures in Science Fiction & Fantasy...EVER!!

Is John Carpenter Going to Get a Screen Credit For The SyFy Channel's "Helix?"

You know the SyFy Channel is in trouble when their most highly touted new series in a long time is nothing more than a rip-off of John Carpenter's "The Thing" movie from 1982.

http://www.scifitalk.com/syfy-greenlights-helix/

A screen credit, right? Screen credit!!

Something along the lines of....

"Research facility set in an arctic environment with lots of slime and goo concepts created by John Carpenter."

After all, "Helix" is heavily inspired by....and I mean HEAVILY INSPIRED BY....

John Carpenter's "The Thing" movie from 1982.

Of course, the SyFy Channel and Ronald D. Moore  wouldn't keep having these copyright ownership issues with other peoples work if they would just come up with a God damn original idea for a change.

Look, no one wants to see "Helix" because (1) it is a stolen idea, and (2) Ronald D. Moore could never do anything better than John Carpenter in any realm of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror.

This unfortunate and proven unprofitable habit of Ronald D. Moore and SyFy Channel needs to stop, really. Stealing the ideas of other people for their projects...and then claiming they are the original authors of the idea!!

This is what happens repeatedly when "Wall Street Bean Counters" poorly disguised as television programmers think they know what Science Fiction television programming is.

As a consequence, we get a "Smorgasbord of Crap" ricocheting all over the map of "Generic Blandness" and "Derivative / Uninspired B.S."

It's The Unthinkable Nightmare Scenario: What if Ronald D. Moore and Bryan Singer Ever Teamed Up For a Project?

Both Ronald D. Moore and Bryan Singer aren't doing well at all lately in the Science Fiction / Fantasy departments. Quite frankly they have never done well at all!! Will the unthinkable ever happen? Ronald D. Moore and Bryan Singer joining forces due to the two of them reaching the bottom of the barrel professionally?

If they ever do, I would suggest a remake of "Baywatch Nights!!" It was a television series that just never got a chance. It had everything in the world going for it!! Monsters....the beach....David Hasselhoff shirtless....Something like this would be right up the schlocky alley of Ronald D. Moore and Bryan Singer!! They could make it dark, gritty, and boring as hell like they usually make everything else they do!! I'll even wager that the two of them could make "Baywatch Nights" even worse than the original!!

This Isn't a "Battlestar Galactica" Action Figure, It's a Generic Hooker in a Red Dress.

....With the "Battlestar Galactica" brand name slapped on it.

http://www.amazon.com/Battlestar-Galactica-Series-Red-Dress/dp/B0011V4TJU/ref=sr_1_30?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1385055553&sr=1-30&keywords=galactica

What audience is the toy manufacturer groping (no pun intended) for with this slutty "Barbie?" Fans of the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series will astutely say...."This isn't 'Battlestar Galactica'." The "GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only) fans will certainly buy it, but they only number in the hundreds worldwide. Most of them being the SyFy Channel's corporate friends on Wall Street.

When the conception of a television series goes horribly wrong via bad management, you end up with poorly conceived merchandise sprung from the bad idea of a television series.

If You Don't Understand What You Own, Don't Retain Ownership of It or Mess With It

Available on http://www.amazon.com

Just looking at this trading cards folder for season four of "GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only), it is blatantly evident that NBC-Universal / SyFy Channel and Ronald D. Moore had no clue what "Battlestar Galactica" was, and had no business retaining ownership of it and messing with it like this.

1. "Battlestar Galactica" is not a contemporary crime show ala' the business suit wearing cast members of "L.A. Law" or "Boston Legal."

2. "Battlestar Galactica" is not contemporary location shooting in Vancouver British Columbia with slummy apartment buildings, automobiles, and sunny skies in plain view...supposedly taking place on some alien world.

3. "Battlestar Galactica" grants no one (not even the legal copyright owners) the luxury of such lazy producing and scriptwriting like this. You either do it right (the 1978 series)...with majestic scope.... or you don't do it at all.

4. If SyFy Channel and Ronald D. Moore wanted to do a status quo and contemporary legal series with business suits on the order of "L.A. Law" and "Boston Legal"....they should have done one instead of dragging the "Battlestar Galactica" brand name through the mud and using it as the title of this series.

5. Only bone headed studios executives and Ronald D. Moore himself would have failed to see how ludicrous it looked to have characters dressed in contemporary business suits in the known iconic space fantasy / adventure series "Battlestar Galactica" from 1978. The very series known for having everything in the series not looking like it came from Earth. It's so ludicrous that even the cover photo on this trading card album looks ludicrous. The brand name "Battlestar Galactica" simply never blended well with such lazy and half-ass producing and writing as this.

6. If you legally latch on to a brand name and don't know or care what the brand name is supposed to be. Stop right there and move on to another project as SyFy Channel and Ronald D. Moore should have done.

7. This project ("GINO") was a massive error in judgment implemented by people who not only had overall hostility towards what "Battlestar Galactica" really is (the 1978 series)....but who also weren't terribly talented in doing any sort of drama for television....whether it be erroneously titled "Battlestar Galactica" or something else.

Does Anyone Care That "X-Men: Days of Future Past" May Have Cost Over $200 Million to Make?

http://screenrant.com/x-men-days-of-future-past-budget/

The only thing people are interested in nowadays is when and where Bryan Singer will have his next box office disaster. It makes for great media theatrics, doesn't it?

After the consecutive box office flops of "Jack The Giant Slayer"....."Valkyrie"....and "Superman Returns"....it seems quite logical that "X-Men: Days of Future Past" will be Bryan Singer's next box office "dud" with a ridiculous budget of over $200 million. If this thing breaks even it will be a miracle, especially with Bryan Singer's name attached to it.

There's still plenty of time for Bryan Singer to use a pseudonym in the opening credits if in fact he did direct this thing. Pre-emptive protection from career based falling shrapnel might be a good idea with a budget of  over $200 million.

This could be Singer's next project if he doesn't use a pseudonym for "X-Men:DOFP" (if he really did direct it.")

Not a live action movie...but a cartoon!!

Ronald D. Moore is "The Boy In The Plastic Bubble"

"Boy in The Plastic Bubble" is a television movie from way back when (1976) about a guy suffering from "Immunity Deficiency." He has to stay encased in a solitary bubble to protect him from the outside air. Exposure to the air could be fatal for him.

This is a metaphor for Ronald D. Moore's career. Moore never had "Mass Market Sensibilities" in television producing and writing. This keeps him cut-off from the outside (real) world where the real money is at....in "Mass Market Entertainment."

Encased within this plastic bubble with Ronald D. Moore is the SyFy Channel and the other limited appeal outlet...."Starz." Within this isolated bubble...such limited appeal drek as "GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)...."Caprica"...."Blood & Chrome"...."Helix"....and "Outlander" were conceived. If you are inside this bubble...you are completely cut-off from the outside (real) world where the real money in mass market appeal entertainment is to be made.

I hope Ronald D. Moore...SyFy Channel....and now (Starz) enjoy their stay inside of this plastic bubble. It's going to be a long stay for all of them.

Meet The Lead Actor in Ronald D. Moore's New "Outlander" Series!! Guess What? He's a Frowner!! He Frowns!!

http://tv.yahoo.com/news/outlander-see-first-photo-sam-heughan-jamie-fraser-150357352.html

Yes, my friends!! The lead actor has been cast in Ronald D. Moore's new "Outlander" series!! Is that a frown I see on his face? Based upon all available information....it's not difficult to get cast in a Ronald D. Moore production!! Just show up at the audition....and frown!! Any acting ability is unimportant and secondary in a Ronald D. Moore production!! It should be noted also that Ronald D. Moore's flair for underwhelming wardrobes is on full display here for "Outlander." Ronald D. Moore has even suffered a downgrade in the wardrobe department!! From the business suits in "GINO" - (Galactica in Name Only)...to the rags & kilts in "Outlander!!"

Getting back to frowning...where have we seen this before in a Ronald D. Moore production?

Ahhh...yes!! Now I remember!!

Ronald D. Moore better be careful!! His frowning actors are eventually going to be made fun of just like William Shatner has been!!

And read these books at another location where Universal Studios executives and its stealth marketers won't be able to post negative, misleading (stealth marketed) reviews of the books via them purchasing candy and Rogaine Foam on Amazon.com (allowing them access to the Amazon book review section) and not actually buying and reading the books. I'll leave the other 150 global locations under wraps for now.
